Super 24 brings a new dimension to dance showcase competitions in Singapore. With the increase in popularity and formation of dance interest groups, there has arisen a need to create a new platform for these groups to showcase not just their dance talents, but also the depth of their unity.
SUPER 24 EMPHASIZES TEAMWORK AND INGENUITY - QUALITIES THAT ARE ESSENTIAL TO WORKING WITHIN THE NOVEL CONSTRAINTS THIS COMPETITION BRINGS.
Teams are to consist of exactly 24 members, dancing within an 8 by 8 metre square, performing a strictly 90-second routine. To add to these challenges, Super 24 diverges from normal dance competition practice of “front view” judging, and introduces 4-sided judging, where no area will be left uncovered, no action unnoticed. In this competition, “every dancer counts”.
The team that best exemplifies adaptability, creativity and team unity - displaying an ability to turn the presented constraints into advantages by tapping on the important resource of all their team mates - a spirit best epitomised by our country Singapore - will win the championship and be known as ‘Super 24’.
