God, I hate that. Sitting for 2 hrs to finally tell you flight is canceled. The frustration!

Yeah it was an exhausting ordeal. I'm glad they gave us vouchers at least and I netted around $700 from the cancellation under the EU261 rule so that also helped.

Delta did the same thing to me when I was traveling from Fort Lauderdale to London via Atlanta enroute to Beijing China(Since I had a connecting flight). They diverted to another state and privde no free accomodation nor food. All they give was a forced $150 voucher in which I have to travel with Delta to benefit. What compensation did you get

Even with cloudy skies, still stunning aerial footage of both CDG and ATL. Makes me really want to do a Delta trip report again! - Red

You're totally right! The scenery when taking off from CDG was beautiful. I definitely have to make it back to Europe soon to check out some more locations.

A mechanical failure is the worst that can happen. With all the organization behind it... Hotel cancellation, transit ... Good flight 👍 Planetravel .

It was pretty hectic but I tried to remain calm about it. I'm glad everything worked out after all!

12:06 Yes it gets bumpy over Atlantic Ocean. By the way, does MD-DC10 shakes the most - during the turbulent zones? When I was 13 years old I felt very bad during bumpy flight, later on - bumpy flights were fine for me. Could it be it cause of DC10?

in the rear of the cabine you feel turbulence at the most

Yup! Figured that out the hard way. Won't be flying in the last row ever again haha.

5:49 It's brave to fly, while plane have issues. As of me - forward journey appears the sense of my living, return trip - just like medical procedure, however when a plane takes off and lands I usually start to think about ones who wait me at home. When I was flying back home from London Heathrow to JFK on Delta, (B767) there was one young lady who missed her return flight to ATL on her way to FL. Just like I used to miss my dental appointments sometime ago.

Was that your very 1st time you've faced a flight cancellation?

I don’t think it was the first time but definitely the first time on an international flight.

I'm shocked that Delta only served one meal on such a long flight.
@XavierHerndon2 жыл бұрын
I should say that they offered some form of barbeque pizza shortly before landing. My stomach was pretty wrecked from the previous meal so I declined it.
