I have the watch and I love it. I don’t see it as a Rolex Daytona replacement. I actually tried on a Used Dayton and it’s much smaller than you think. I personally don’t thinks it worth almost $15k. At a little over $5k this is a nice watch. I actually selected this over the Omega Speedmaster, because I simple did not like the bracelet and I felt the dial was boring.

I had this and the S&G version and ultimately after much deliberation i chose to keep the S&G version. The gold bezel just breaks it up so much better. Makes it seem less chunky for its size. It has a more vintage feel too, and regularly receives many compliments. It took me a long time to part with this steel version tho as it is still an incredible watch. Best suited for a bigger wrist.

@@jonathansmith283 I had expressed interest in it a while back. He told me that his first batch would not be until possibly July, and that they were already spoken for. So, I was surprised when I received a text from him. Apparently the gentleman who was supposed to take delivery of this watch, was not able to. His loss is my gain. I got lucky, as I had expected to wait for a while.

@@scottwexlin6456 interesting. 2 weeks ago an AD who got me my sub date last august contacted me . that they had a 2 tone rolex sea dweller, if I was interested . the rule is- never turn down an AD piece, but I did. Excellent review. I chose this variation over the panda and I am very pleased with it. The bracelet is very comfortable and for a hefty watch it does not look to chunky on my 7 inch wrist. The more I wear it the more I enjoy it. Thanks for the video, well done. 🎉

The best reviews on KZbin. Love the look but don't think it should've been in the BB line. The snowflake hands and screw down pushers aren't practical for a chrono.

You miss the whole point of the watch. Practicality also has nothing to do with it. It's a nod to vintage Daytonas. Practicality and mechanical watches don't really go together.

@@ams914 that depends, I frequently use it if I have chrono on the wrist that day, otherwise a timing bezel would do as well. As for the Daytona thing, yes and no imho, it certainly has a strong influence from the cosmograph, but by having just two sub dials instead of 3, I consider them building something of their own.

That steel bezel is a deal-breaker. Go with a lacquered ceramic something along the lines of a Omega Seamaster Diver. I'd also far prefer the everyday usability of a Diver's bezel in general. Of course that is already found on their Black Bay line.

It is an amazing product, that clearly is a hit, so Tudor really did everything right. However, as a watch enthusiast, i kinda wish Tudor was more bold, and took a bit more risk to really make the BB Chrono something different. Like a manual wound thin chrono that is similar in size to a BB58...

I actually put my name down for this watch and paid a deposit. After watching your video on the white dial variant I was horrified by that second hand wobble. So much so, I cancelled my order and got my deposit back. I now own an Omega Seamaster 300m Chronograph 9900 (grey dial). I absolutely love it. Still honeymooning with it 4 months later. Crazy accurate too. Thanks for the great informative videos.

I’m a fan of your and consider you as one of the best watch channel on KZbin… but I can’t understand your aversion for screw down pushers as they are the best of both world in my opinion: Leave them open all the time and you’re ready to time anything at anytime. You’re going to the pool or beach? Just screw those pushers. And you have a 100% water safe watch! Best

Cheaper than a speedy and it has Rolex DNA, Tudor is a great brand in it's own right. I bought the Panda face model. It gets more wrist time than any of my other watches, including Rolex!

I tried it on, didn't think it was huge but definitely not small, and actually was comfortable. Is this worth buying since it's really a Breitling movement instead of in house tudor? Should one wait for the new Tag Heuer chronos to get reduced in price to get this instead?

Tag Heuer chronos are unfortunately too small for a grown man. Under 40mm is far too small and petite unless you are a little girly man under 6' tall.

It looks like it wears very similar to an Omega SMP 300 being more like a 42mm and with the same 50mm lug to lug and comparable thickness. Did you prefer this over the panda version Hafiz ?. Also thank you for pronouncing aluminium the right way !!!!

I smashed that like button before watching the video, as usual. Just a small suggestion for possible improvement adding on perfection: Watches look differently under different light, such as warm light and cold light. Could you arrange those scenes maybe? Especially the 50th anniversary Speedy, it looks so different under different lights.

In regards to the chrono pushers, can one just leave them unscrewed? Do the screw down crowns on the pushers become loose and giggle around if left in open position? I imagine one knows when there is going to be water exposure and surely screw them down. Also, I noticed you run the chrono during the video for show purposes. Is it bad for the movement to keep the chrono engaged? Does running the chrono all the time reduce the run time when off the wrist? Liked and subbed, really amazing quality, thx for sharing this watch. I wish ADs had them so I could try it on, pity.

I generally dislike the look of Tudors (ignoring snowflake hands and riveted bracelets that I dislike yet more) but this is starting to pique my interest nonetheless. I will go against the flow and say that ceramic bezels are really not as nice-looking as metal ones anyway so the Tudor wins there but if they had made the bezel a millimetre narrower that would improve it more.

Nah, too thick, too heavy for my taste. It also looks like a Rolex Daytona “wannabe” . I would much rather get the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch if I wanted a chronograph watch; but for the time being I’m not into chronographs. Nice review though.
