I didn't event think to consider maintenance calling in a full power takeoff. The flight was full, so I was under the impression that's why full power was used.

What does distance to destination in air have anything to do with take-off power? I’m no pilot but maybe headwinds on the ground and low levels dictate take off protocols. I’ve flown hundreds of times. Take off power here seems normal.

@@ANGELINA5461 I think take off trust was not really maximum. With max thrust the plane should be much faster in the air. On shorter flights it is less fuel on board and the plane has usually even with full pax load not MTOW that's why max trust is not needed.

I am from ny nj and don’t remember that I have ever seen the southern tip of SI to Coney Island, hunts point, the whole Manhattan in a single video, and we’re in a north bound flight that took off south bound giving the opportunity to get high early enough to cover the whole big apple and the adjacent nj. Did I mention it was a rare clear winter day that day that made it possible. 👍

Awesome video 👍 However, I don’t think full power was actually used. Airlines like to preserve the life of the engines plus, those engines are very powerful. Those are were main reasons that full power is infrequently used for takeoffs. Sounds like full power, but again, most likely isn’t.

You can tell that this is much higher than any normal 737 MAX takeoff because the pitch of the engine whine is much higher than it usually this. LEAP 1B’s rarely ever go this high, while the throttles may not be fully at the bump its the highest power takeoff you can do on a 737 max without firewalling. Listen to a normal 737 MAX takeoff, it won’t be as high pitched and the buzzsaw won’t be as pronounced

@@RyanZ225_PC True. I've heard higher, though. Highest I've heard was 96% N1 and that was a takeoff video out of Mexico City. This sounded like it was around 91-92% N1. Redline is 104.3% N1, but I doubt the engines will ever go that high.

In my opinion the CFM LEAP is the ONLY Modern engine that has any character. I can't stand the PW1000G. Though I really just want the IAEV2500 and the PW JT8D back. I want the Maddogs back really.
