August will definitely be a great time to visit! We visited around June timeframe. I recommend getting there early so that you can reach all the way to the end of the tip & all the way to the lighthouse. The views are spectacular!

That's not the Pacific Ocean, It's The Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Yeah you’re right thanks for correcting that. At first when I glanced at it I assumed because the Strait of Juan de Fuca flows into the Pacific Ocean it’s just the Pacific Ocean but obviously it’s not. 😅 Thanks for watching. 😇

true, but he is correct that the ocean side, or west side, is the legal route for traveling on the spit. anything east of the high tide line or past the lighthouse is off-limits wildlife preserve.
