I was studying for my Ph.D. at MIT in 1958-62, including two courses at Harvard and living in a house near there. So, I know many segments of this trip. Memory Walkway! Thank you for sharing.

I've walked that route many many times growing up in the Cambridge area, in fact I've probably walked more than half the streets in Cambridge in the 1940's and 1950's.......In our early teens ( 13 ) We would swim in the Charles River, not just Magazine beach or .Jerry's Pit, but the whole river until the M.D. C. police caught us swimming near the boat house wearing W. W. 2 Life - vests that we found in a junk yard in Union Square Somerville...Needless to say, they told us if we came back to the river they would arrest us. I have so many memories in my now 90 YEARS and they will be lost like me....Enjoy life everyone, it only happens once....
