Kaiserslautern is a city in southwest Germany, set at the north end of the Palatinate Forest. The Japanese Garden includes a century-old teahouse, waterfalls and beech trees. Gartenschau Kaiserslautern floral gardens include a huge dinosaur exhibit. The Theodor-Zink Museum has local history exhibits, including Bronze Age artifacts. Northwest, Zoo Kaiserslautern is home to monkeys, iguanas and tropical birds.

I use to live here and was always afraid to do public photography, because it's a criminal offense in Germany, to post these peoples likeness without their consent. You can be jailed up to 2 years. There are exceptional circumstances that allow it, but anybody captured on this video can file a cease and desist order and the uploader would have to blur them out or take it down. It's so backwards, Germans protect criminals and predators identities, and apparently there is an expectation of privacy in public. 🤷‍♂

That dosen't apply to public places, or any place where cameras can be expected, like on conventions. We have german livestreamers who walk through German cities streaming it on Twitch with no issues.

@@raintech3253 That's not entirely true, otherwise they would show murderers and pedophiles faces, that got caught on cameras, in places where cameras were expected. I know about the "no expectation of privacy" at gatherings with purpose. Which probably still has many gray areas as well. But you can still get in trouble, while doing personal public photography (according to the German law), for publishing peoples likeness without their consent. Basically anybody could file a cease and desist, but most people probably don't, which is why German Twitch streamers mostly have no issues. Nonetheless it's messed up.

@@overdrive112 Yes, and the more I learned about their laws, the less I wanted to be one, to the point where I couldn't stand Germany anymore.

@@OfficerD82 I am German and man, I can’t even put in words how much I feel what you just said. We live in desperate, grey lands, locked away from the REAL problems of the world. The German folk is weak and spoiled and we represent it perfectly with our law. (In case you don’t know) We have the weirdest Educational System ever imo: In elementary school you have different kinds of Teachers, but one master teacher so to speak of, which decides on what secondary school you go after ur done with the 4th grade. So if a kid, for example, comes from a home with parents who don’t really care about you, you may not do your homework or have a bad attitude in class, which leads to bad grades, and ultimately a bad secondary school. There are 3 types of secondary schools available, I don’t think there are exact English translations for them, but they are called Hauptschule, Realschule and Gymnasium. (From worst to best) So if you’re sent to a Gymnasium you have by far better chances to get accepted in a job than when you’re being sent to a Hauptschule for example. You don’t even get the same chances as other people in your class, even if you’re maybe twice as smart as them, because you’re not raised well enough and are too young to reflect on your actions. Which doesn’t mean you are fucked, but you have to keep in mind what kind of people gather in a Hauptschule. Imagine everyone has bad attitude etc. You EASILY get into contact with people who drag you down even more and there’s nothing you can do about it because you weren’t being raised properly. On top of that, they teach different stuff in these 3 types of schools. While in English class in 11th grade, you may write an essay about a historical accurate event that you also need to be aware of, or a discussion essay or maybe about a book you had to read on your own, in 11th grade on a Hauptschule you get Yes or no questions with little boxes you just have to check, about grammar or vocabulary. And people still try to defend this system.
