I also feel the same. Looks like Lin Dan in this match wanted to win the match with no smashes and only by playing deceptive shots and seems as if this was a practice match for him and he was only polishing his skills of the game.

@@ravithechillpersonnah, 2015 and onward CL is a better player than LD because LD started to show his age. We really need to stop with this narrative if LD loses it’s because he didn’t take it seriously. It’s ok to lose, even at his prime LD didn’t win every tournament, sometimes you just don’t have it that day.

Because most amateurs do not play a neutral game (into the middle of the court), They try to win a point on every shot.

Not really. LD had a bad day at the office. He didn't really try in the decider.

Post 2013-2014 injuries LD is no longer in his prime while 2015-2017 Chen Long had one of the best runs in badminton history (excluding LD)
