This is another analysis video on a recently released aim report from another Voltaic coach, Herro. This time, the work is with Soulcas, a professional VALORANT player for Apeks (previously Team Liquid). Soulcas is a player with a high mechanical skill ceiling, so it was interesting to look at what he was working on to improve his consistency and overall weaknesses.
I said to a commenter I'd make this one shorter, but I ended up making it longer! Next time I should say I'll make it longer, to make it shorter...hm. Either way, the reason these are long is because I like to talk about any concepts or principles along the way that I think are interesting, helpful, etc. To me, the better we can think about these topics the more likely our long-term success will be in our journey to being self-sufficient players.

I love the long form format and tangents you go off on since you don't leave anything on the table. Even if you're repeating something you've said before, i appreciate you giving us more examples to help solidify those ideas. I'm also doing chores while listening so i might be biased😅

Your explanation of the reactive vs predictive parts of the brain and it pertaining to sports and esports around 40:00 was absolutely amazing. It makes so much more sense to me how I perform so much better in Rocket League vs FPS games, because with Rocket League the game is so fast paced that you just don’t have time to get stuck in a predictive state. Now I need to apply this to FPS games when I’m getting stuck in a predictive state lol

So I'm at 18:37 where you say being unable to slow down smoothly is a "Tension Management" problem. I want to take that further. Tension management problems can either be two things: 1. A lack of understanding of how you should be trying to moving your mouse(Technique). 2. A lack of ability to move your mouse how you want to(mouse control). Both of which can only be rectified through focused repetition, but you MUST either: A. be aware of the issue so you intentionally bring change to it in scenarios that do not have a specific focus on the issue or B. play scenarios that stress that specific weakness. Ideally, you'd do BOTH.

Hi, I love this whole series of aim training videos, however I'd like to point out that this video is noticably softer (low volume) than the other videos. I usually listen to these videos while walking outside and for this one specifically I couldn't hear properly if the outside noise was too loud (as compared to the previous other videos where I could still hear properly even with the same level of outside noise)

Man aim training is seriously gonna change FPS games 😭 the more reports like this that are released the less people will clown on aim training and try it and realize how good it is

Got a question for you Daniel, and if you ever did a video on this I think it would be awesome. I started aim training because of your videos, and I've seen a lot of improvement, but as a CS player there are times where I DON'T have enough time to micro-correct, or at least I'm very far off skill and technique wise from being able to micro quick enough. When I do static tasks and pokeball I am never able to have those consistent initial flicks like minigod or other top aimers that make the micro correction easier, it's always a far enough distance off to make it a missable micro correction. How can you improve your INITIAL flick to get it to the target as close and accurate as possible? What goes into that to make it a tangibly improvable skill? Love your videos as always, hope to see you casting or on yhe desk in the future maybe too 😀
