I had a bunch of requests for more videos about aim training and mechanics, thank you, guys, for that!
In this video, we dive into how to define mouse control and how we can understand how to diagnose aim issues so we can get closer to perfect mouse control. This video is aimed at those who have limited technical knowledge about aim and want to begin to build their understanding so better decisions can be made for their own training and peripheral choices.
I'll make more videos about my aim routines, specifically the one that minig0d created for me. We'll also delve into the different aim topics more, as I continue to learn from the coaches and experts I talk to in the community.

It's awesome to see you still around making good nerd content ddk. I know aim training content is still a bit niche. But trying to sprinkle in these discussions about it, and things like the episode with minigod, is always appreciated and enjoyed.

Great video!! I realized a lot of what you said, I have been doing subconsciously for a little bit now, since I had swapped over to Pulsar's X2V2 mini. I have bigger hands so me picking up this mouse had almost forced me to use my fingertips to micro-adjust, you explained this very well in your video! Bringing this to light and actually speaking on how one can improve in this field for overall aim-growth is great!

Sounds like we've come to similar conclusions. Except on the pad and sensitivity stuff... I just got one of those glass pads in though so I'll try your settings and see how I go!

cannot recommend enough doing aim training benchmarks. I had terrible mouse control that kept me in diamond but when I came across the voltaic benchmarks it gave me the jump to immortal 3. Of course i also had to improve game sense but good aim is so important to execute crazy plays made in the brain. I think they’ve made valorant specific benchmarks so id recommend those for a better focus on val

I had the exact same issue and funny enough came up with the exact same solution you have. My main difficulty is prolonged target tracking in games with higher TTK, which I think needs more arm related aiming.

I have completely reworked my hand position with Death Adder v3. With high sens I used to squeeze every mouse which would tire my forearm. Now I try to hold it super light, and concentrate on incorporating the fingertips a lot more. CS always felt unnatural coming from Quake2, just recently I started to carry a lot more.

Very good way of wording things. Especially the part about habits. I was someone who relied on low sens a lot and struggled with micro corrections specifically with fingertips. For about 2 or 3 months I raised my sens from .3 800 dpi to .4 800 dpi and used one of minigods microcorrection playlists in aimlabs and I saw significant improvement with my micro corrections and more specifically when I went back to my low sens. Good video DDK!

yeah, high sens on a skypad works surprisingly well for flicks. I tested sensitivites from 10-100cm/360° in static clicking on a skypad recently and anywhere between 22cm to 80cm i got around the same scores. But if I switched out the skypad for control pads that I was using until a couple months ago my micro adjustments with the fingertips are a lot less precise and a lower sens allows you to do the micro adjustments with the wrist instead, so low sens is really beneficial for control pads. But on a glass pad you can just use the fingertips more so a higher sens works well. I'm sure you could get good on even faster sensitivities then 22cm/360° if you trained for it.

This was a great video, I love the explanations and analogies you used to break stuff down. I seem to be doing the exact opposite where I am aiming almost exclusively with my arm with a low sensitivity. Time to train with a higher sensitivity and learn the finer adjustments! Good luck with going freelance and content creation, imo if you keep posting content of this quality it will blow up!

Its interesting, I got so heavily into the aim community last year and learned a lot, now it seems like most of the knowledge is obvious but actually in the val and cs community its really not. I'm back to mostly doing in game practice instead of aim trainers, and only going into in game trainers if I have a specific aim issue I need to work at. On topic of peripherals, if they made a superlite XL it would be the best thing ever, but everyone wants smaller and lighter mice, so us big hand gamers out here missing out lmao.

Recently discovered you channel and cant stop watching/ listening to your vids when I do my routines or practice in DM's! Really nice to see such in depth videos about aim and incorporating aim training. What CM 360 / DPI is your "high" sens, just out of curiosity :) and is the blue band on your wrist used to help glide on the glass pad? As skypad without sleeve seems insane to me XD

Shroud might have a multi billion dollars company between his arm, wrist, and fingertips... But that doesn't mean we can't set up a small business and keep it afloat in ours... (decided to commit a bit more to the analogy lol)

Great video! I have problem aiming with wrist because rheumatism i have good whole arm control and finger control but when it comes to wrist part of aiming it its really bad because rheumatism wrist has stiffness and inflammation. I dont notice problem with aim in overwatch because there you mainly aim with whole hand all the time lots movement but in cs/valo i notice im like 100x worse because it needs more horizontal wrist aiming. I have tried get it better in aimtrainers just using wrist only but in game it gets so stiff always. I have 1k hours in aimtrainers elysian in valorant benchmark and grandmaster every season so far. I play 45cm sens in all games, should i use lower sens or higher to use more finger aim. I also use skypad and i use g303 wireless mouse

Questions the aiming with your arm and the locking your wrist to you mean planting it into the pad ? And also would you consider this technique good for eveb track heavy games or jus more of a tac fps thing
@ddkesports
@ddkesports 10 ай бұрын
Locking the wrist as in, when you are aiming with your arm, if the purpose is only to use the arm for a specific movement, you lock the wrist so it isn't doing any of the work. Good arm aim or control is useful for slow sens and really for tracking in general. It's especially nice for huge flicks, as you after you do your flick you can adjust with your wrist for more precision if you want to. Does that clear it up? Lmk

I also have another question about consistency throughout multiple hours of playtime. I usually do 20-30 min of warm up and then do 3 ranked games, and at that point start to feel diminishing mechanical returns. Is there any way to combat this?

Taking small breaks can be helpful--if you want to take this to the next level, you could try NSDR (search non sleep deep rest huberman and you'll find it). The NSDR isn't something I've tried for this purpose yet, but I've been meaning to. Quality sleep, good nutrition, exercise, all can help to increase focus & endurance. My sense of this has always been that we have a finite amount of energy and focus for the day that's dictated by our bodies, habits, etc. I wear a whoop band because I'm trying to gather data constantly about my sleep and so on, as I think this is helpful in guiding me towards better and healthier habits which should positively impact energy and focus.
