Mumbai looks chaotic, can't say is it due to lack of planning or lack of infrastructure or both but it looks that someone is coming from here going there without traffic rules, there is no proper pedestrian everywhere people walking in roadside itself that makes road narrow , if there is pedestrian somewhere it was encroached by hawker, and roadside vendors .

Disapointing view. Only skyscrapers....roads are not beautiful. There is no painting on roadside slabs (old slabs), no lane marking on roads, footpaths are not maintained and painted. As a result, all roads look old. Mumbai corporataion hai hai.

It is nostalgic for me as it provided my first ever bread and butter; back in the day when I was working in Motilal Oswal at Parel. :) From my building I could see the Indiabulls Sky; what a gorgeous tower!! Most of the builders are waiting for completion of projects like the metro, coastal road etc. Once these basic infrastructure projects are done you can see many projects starting there.

Infrastructure doesn't just mean roads and Metro... It also means electricity, water and other things.. Delhi constantly has water and electricity cuts whereas we don't have anything of that sort ever. In Mumbai.. Delhi water is also not consumable many times it's mixed with sewage and infected.. mumbai has the best quality of water in the whole city. This is only a section of the city

There are timings in which water comes, if not every household has water motor which is used to fill up water tanks. Regarding quality of water, it's india not usa plus no one drinks tap water. Everyone has RO water filter in their house which is used for drinking

Poor quality road infrastructure There are no rules, anyone can park their vehicles anywhere Indian engineers should take a tour to China and learn from them how city planning is done. Road still dirty There are no markings on the roads to indicate which vehicle should go in which direction. There are no modern equipment installed on the roads. There is no system for beautification of roads. There is no place for education and talent in a system which runs on bribes. Bribery is deeply embedded in every vein of India. People will follow the system only if they are bound by it. Trees, buildings and roads are all filled with mud. There is no machine to clean the roads. If you are investing trillions of rupees in a city, then build it with planning and widen the roads

I am from Pakistan and I know you guys hate me for this. But roads in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore are much wider and cleaner with greenery than this. I loved the skyscrapers but I don't think this city would be sustainable for future. Now there's no way to change it. That's why Mumbai's coastal roads are getting built. Coastal roads of Mumbai are all six lane and far wider. Mumbai is going through a major construction. Mumbai's Subway is getting extended to ease the traffic.. Mumbai's coastal roads and Mumbai's trans Harbor corridor. Mumbai Sabarmati High speed railway. Mumbai extension of mono rail and metro. And lastly the major project going in Maharashtra is Dharavi redevelopment project of Five year plan.
