Magic Kingdom Update - New 50th Anniversary Sign, Lightning Lane Signs & More | Walt Disney World

Check out what is new at Magic Kingdom! A brand new 50th anniversary sign has been added to the Main Street USA train station! It is rather small, but the sign is nice. Also, the Main Street USA clock has a new look for the 50th anniversary! Some other news is that the Fastpass signs are starting to be replaced/removed. A few attractions now have new Lightning Lane signs/stickers. This was all filmed on September 2nd 2021 from around 3:30pm -4:15pm

The excitement keeps building seeing the new sign, banners and the gold clock. Can't wait for all the character statues to be installed. The rose gold has grown on me.

We're having a heck of a rain storm that I can't think about, so I figure it's ALGORITHM time! The clock on Main St doesn't disappoint. Wow, nice job Citizen! I would love to meet the person who thought of "Lightning Lane ''. Was it a 21 yr old kid of an executive? Really? But, most comments don't mention the 50th sign. Am I the only one who thinks it's subpar? Guess 50 years didn't warrant a sign with a popping 3D background. A design with lights behind the 50th medallion would have made this stand out! Why isn't it as long as the train station? AND because there are no trains now but shrubbery - isn't this going to get lost once the trains start moving behind it. AND with the RR station looking so spiffy, where are the pumpkins & Halloween décor with Boo Bash now happening? Ahem, sorry, that sign pi--es me off. (Did you see the awesome NEW Oogie Boogie sign DLand has at its entrance! It lights up and is very detail oriented with lit up bats, etc. And this is for Halloween!!!!!!!🤦‍♀️) I will go check the basement. The distraction was enjoyable. Thx.

Yes, I completely agree with everything you said Liz. There is definitely a connection between Lightning Lane, the small 50th sign, the missing Halloween decor, and more. It must be the same person who makes the call (Chapek) and if it’s not him, it’s someone who listens to everything he says. It is unfortunately the new way of the theme parks and it is such a shame

They are wasting no time getting new signage up. I use Apple TV to watch the videos and, unlike my tablet, it cuts off the words you put on the screen. I wish I could figure out how to fix it. Since I see the top half of the letters, sometimes I know but most of the time I don’t. Technology….ugh… We enjoyed the video, though! Thank you for sharing.
