4L30E to MUA5 Swap Has Started - 1996 Trooper MUA5 Swap

Holy moly ive benn trying to get some info on this swap im interested in doing it some time in the future

I need to make a new video, the swaps done I just have been too busy with work and life to tidy up all the little things. I ended up taking advantage of having the transmission out and did some frame painting and dropped my fuel tank to refurbish it. All I have left is gas lines for the tank, exhaust and cleaning up the wire harness.

Have a 1992 Trooper and the automatic transmission has crapped out. Have another 92 I bought for parts that has a manual 5 speed and was wondering if it could be swapped out

If you really want to do it, yes. It takes way more time than money. If money is no issue I would have the automatic transmission rebuilt by a guy named Garret Adams, he's in the "Isuzu Trader" group on Facebook, he knows these 4L30Es so well it's almost concerning. He can build it however strong you would like. But if you really want a manual be prepared for a lot of work. I'll say this, if the manual Trooper just needs a new motor, just put in a new motor and drive it. It'll be less work and time.

@@garycousino4016 yes much more simple to have it rebuilt versus converting to manual.

@@garycousino4016 if you have Facebook I would join the Isuzu Trader group. And post it there, someone would very likely buy the manual one for the transmission. There are a few members from that area I'm sure.
