Stevie hosts, Andrew contributing with Calvin and Kenny in a topical debate, are Rangers downsizing or restructuring? Is it a January to be forgotten or is it about time we started thinking more like a proper business?
Are we simply on a tough path thanks to previous mistakes?
All the talk of being weakened and not strengthening is examined, why are we in this position and how did we get here?

Nice to see fans getting off the managers back for a change. He's brought in young talent pushed us on in Europe he's just been unlucky with injuries and not being able to play at ibrox for first months of season. Credit to the manager for me being able to come through the last months

I normally just watch Rangers Review. Good to see Stevie here, sounding better. I like and find myself agreeing a lot with Stevie generally. I am slowly warming back up to the manager. He deserves credit for the Euro run and we have some good younger players developing. I like that we are playing the younger guys and building value in the squad, in that way. I think so long as we confirm our away game against Hearts with a win, I will be happier backing the manager fully at that point. Things seem to be improving. Long may that continue. I wouldn't mind seeing Nsiala and Fernandes as a CB pair against Queens Park to see where they are at. It was a good show and thanks to the other lads on the show. All the best 🇬🇧

I think one of the highlights of the Vlogs was seeing Shona’s reaction when Rangers particularly Dessers scored was seeing the joy live on screen, Pity

No way we’re in a worse position. The team transfer value is higher, we have good young players (including teens we haven’t seen yet). And the remaining deadwood is on the way out. Whether we like it or not, this season was always a write off. But even saying that, this team can beat anyone they might play against for the rest of the season… and in the process all these young players are gaining experience!

The way I am thinking, it would be great if we can win silverware, but a good Euro run and eating into the Celtic gap is vital if we can. The young players are a huge positive and long may that continue. The way I see it is the rest of this season is really about laying the foundations of experience for those guys to come of age and challenge for the league next season or two and for us to make money on that talent. This gives us a real platform to build.

What I’ve never understood when building the club back why we never had a wage structure and stuck to it no matter what just madness

Its different doing a turnover when you've sold players for serious money, Jefte and Igamane aren't going on the cheap.

We didn’t kick off after winning 55. Player trading model poor, example: Morelos should have been sold at his peak, not let go after his sell by date. Current board at the moment seems to be going in right direction & have the right vision for our club.
@rangersnut
@rangersnut 5 сағат бұрын
If the board is truly going in the right direction for me that means using all the Euro money we generate towards our debt. I believe that is about £9 million or so, so far. That should half our losses. If we sign any players in the summer it should be only young guys, free agents/loans for adding some experience and from any sales we make then add some a couple fo bits of quality or replace big losses if required. We have to become finacially healthy to build back to our true level. We must stick woth the younger guys generally and like the Dutch and Belgian clubs do, build exciting young teams thay can have big value. Then in future when we are in good health money wise, then add one or two marquee signings a season I'm with the younger guys for the player trading model. This is what I hope for and to see natural order restored with us on top. To get there it's going to be a gradual journey. We can't measure Clement by the same yardstick as previous managers with quite a bit of money to throw at instant success.

When we do we discuss funding to the ladies team? How much do they get every season? Id rather every possible penny goes to the reason we are all here...the men's team. Rangers.

One thing for sure clements player options have seriously decreased and with our injury record it could backfire on us
@rangersnut
@rangersnut 5 сағат бұрын
I disagree. Our player options have improved. The likes of Dowell and Matondo that are empty jerseys replaced by younger, hungry guys like Nsiala, Fernandes, Igamane, Bailey Rice, Curtis etc. This is much better. You get total effort and lads that will be more robust. That's what we want. Lots of value building via experience.
@slemsman2002

It's addition by subtraction in terms of Dowell and Matondo, but by definition, it is still subtraction. We have fewer options available to the manager each week. That's just numbers. I don't think you can argue that it is downsizing but it is absolutely necessary that we go through this pain if we are to come out the other side. The question is 'What now?'. I feel for Clement. He's been hung out to dry by the Board directly during his tenure and through their failure with previous managers, and now, 18 months into his contract, he's being told to win the Cup while doing something no Rangers manager has ever done or had to do - bring through kids and develop raw talent.

The money used for the projects like disabled facilities probably couldn’t be used on players due to ffp limitations.
