The thing with Deion is that he seems to just be looking for one type of player. He wants more hims, more deions. He can get them sure, but he’s almost making the recruiting class smaller. And if he wants more deions, what’s stopping them from changing teams like he did? Additionally, kids who want exposure might not want to play on a team where the main attraction is their coach and his sons. It’s very possible Deion levels out at consistent 8-4 seasons where he does win, but not enough to get to a bowl game.

Almost the whole roster was new and as you pointed out it is unprecedented. Really hard to say if he turned the program around or just brought in new talent to hype the year. I mostly stay in pro sports for a lot of reasons, but Prime had me glued to every game up to the Stanford loss. Absolute must watch TV for the first 4-6 weeks given your taste for hype. Even after that I found myself watching the highlights even if every outcome was an L. The Travis Hunter injury was devastating, the OL eventually got overwhelmed once teams got tape on their schemes, and overall the positivity ended up being toxic to a sustainable season. However like you said, this was an improvement for any normal program. The talk outside of the CU hype bubble is that you've got to go from losing big, to losing small, to winning small, to winning big. I'm not sure if they can accomplish that all by the time Prime's sons go off to the NFL, but honestly I'd be happy to be wrong. If nothing else, he's made college football relevant outside of the SEC plus the rotating cast of 4-5 teams. It's a reach for sure, but I think Washington might need to send some kudos his way for getting eyes on the Pac-12 in general to provide legitimacy to both Oregon and Washington on their way to that championship game. Last time Oregon was in the dance... it didn't go well.

The average Deon Sanders stan cannot comprehend that Jedd Fisch and Kalen Deboer are everything that Deon will never be. Hell they couldn't even tell you where they coached last year.

Colorado fans are Deion 🥜 holders who know absolutely NOTHING about the game of football 😂😂😂

Y’all really had a hate boner for Deion doing the same thing as other coaches just because he had a bigger fan base behind him newsflash he’s an ex nfl star and hall of famer if you dropped Patrick Willis in here it would be the same thing

Buddy I’m a uw fan, deboer ain’t gonna do shit in bama. Bro has been blessed with incredible luck, and good for him getting the Alabama bag but he will be exposed this upcoming season

Hoping Syracuse gets a similar type of video with new coach Fran Brown, because our recruiting class and transfer class has gone from nothing to everyone

As someone who doesn’t watch nor care about college football I know they had me interested those first few games. I had no idea they ended up 4-8 tho what a far cry from that crazy start

so you wanted to watch a bad team

They beat three teams that ended up 5-7. TCU was an anomaly last season so when they beat them this year, everyone went WOW. Not realizing TCU wouldn't be the same as last year.

First of all, GO METS. Second of all, with all due respect, you not watching or caring about college football nullifies my interest in your opinion. It's like if I said "couldn't give a flip about baseball, but here's what I think of the Mets!" Who cares? Just being honest.

Colorado scraped by with wins vs TCU and Colorado State, but the fanbase and media still thought this team was going 13-0.

People say that they went from 1-11 to 4-8, but it was NOT the same team that played in '22. They brought in plenty of transfers had one Hell of a list of assistant coaches that CU didn't have the year before.

Deion isn’t a good coach, he’s just Deion. That’s it. That’s the only selling point for making him a coach. He’s good at marketing and pushing his brand that’s it. He can bring in talent, the question is can he develop it?

Not crazy at all. Anyone who saw how ghetto and trashy CU acted before the Oregon game early in the season saw that coming. The team is too ghetto and undisciplined with Deion to ever get past 8-4. Maybe 9-3

22:09- 22:10 this right here is one of my biggest reasons why I respect and love Travis Hunter. Besides him being the athlete he is but he of all ppl had the nerves of steel, the guts and the balls of titanium to make mends with the safety that hit him in that game. Thats how you douse a fire. Kudos to 12 man

The hype definitely doesn't match the results, but this season definitely deserves some credit. Personally, I think we ought to give it a few years for this team as we would with any other team trying to turn that shithole around. Not saying you can't go 1-win to bowl game win (Northwestern just did), but that is an unrealistically high bar for such a team. Here's my thought: If they make a B12 championship and/or a 12-team championship bracket, it's worth the hype. That's how high the hype bar is. Again, on the realistic side, just being a consistent winning/bowl team over the next 5 years would be a success. We'll see though, I'll leave it to them to prove it, as the last 9 games of this season . . . well . . . set them up in a rough spot for next year's expectations. Stanford was tripping into a bottomless pit and it's their job to dig it out.

I've been a CU fan since 1979 when I moved to Colorado. Win or Lose I stayed Loyal. Somehow I was never a big fan of Deion Saders but I was happy to see this kind of choice for head coach for CU. Since his hiring it's been an amazing transformation for this team. This has been a great experience and it's been fantastic for all Sports in Colorado. I will continue to support CU win or Lose but I'm happy with what's happening at CU.
