Just throwing it out there but I wrap plastic connectors in one sided sticky foam like the factory does to prevent any annoying rubbing or strange noises from that area....

Kinda what I tried to do with the extra materiel. If I start to hear vibrations I’ll take the panel off and do that 👍🏼👍🏼

Was yours withering the jbl system ? I found a 2 ohm 3way speaker 6x9s and tweeters didnt work! I called al lm around and they said its not gonna work unless you change da fa factory amp or install another amp????

Nice man ..did u install an amp also?...I'm wanting to do speaker upgrade and was wondering how it sounds with no amp just upgraded speakers.

Now that you've had these 6 x 9s in the front for some time now., wondering if you had any regrets going with a 6x9 vs a smaller 6.5" in the front doors? Any issues with the bigger speaker? I'm about to buy some Kenwood 6x9s (Excelon KFC XP69.3c) amd wanted to get your impressions so far.

Zero. Love them. I wish I didn’t do the whole car. No need when it’s only me but it was worth the experience

Did you have the trim the plastic ring around the speaker in the door panel?

no I did not.

What size are the bolts for the speakers

I used the stock speaker bolts. I believe they where 10mm

can you not just use metal cutting screws instead of the adapter?

Nop, if you do that the back of the speaker will hit the window mechanism. The adapter is not optional

Did yoy have to add a amplifier for both front and rear door speakers??

No but if you do it will sound even better

Yes you can. It’s a little more of a process but it is possible.
