I mean @@AB__AL91 have right. Fact private servers still doing "fine" but ofc not the global server. I played this beloved game when i was a kid. Now i back (i hope) to the game with my best friend. Man, one day I want "new version" of 4story when all the players can enjoy the game... or maybe we can call it 4story origin? I want call it that, but 4 years and we still don't have more info about the game ;-; placeholder for 4story origins is on the steam by the way if someone is wondering

The 2014-2015 updates really destroyed everything. Until today I haven't seen such a massive drop of players (Greek server) in such a short time in any game I have played. A P2W game where in an instant our valuable +22,23,24 items had zero value. We were not going to spend any more money for upgrades nor we did have the time to lvl up to 140. Before that, it was great. So many funny moments with my best friend that we still miss. Definitely my most enjoyable gaming years!

Awesome video! I miss the oldschool of 2009-2012 so much. I would support any project that would try to bring the enhanced Vanilla back. Keep it simple, build on what worked in past, make the leveling journey long and enjoyable with PvP sparkled content such as Document wars. If there is anyone with the capabilities to work on such a project, let me know. Iberia Records, great job as always! Keep it up.

I played 4story DE from 2009 to i think 2015/2016 not sure on the end. Lapiris and then Xhadra after Lapiris was closed. Our guild was called Soulreaver but there was a big argument between people so everyone left. The leader Piedel and me made a guild called xpopular and we were one of the, if not the most successful guild at that time. The patches took the fun away for me and after our leader Piedel passed away the guild basically fell apart. R.I.P. Piedel my friend. I miss all the people i spent my days with in 4story and i still remember a few names. Paterno, ohitsafee, MBKbutcher, Langohr, Clamsi, DSB, iRuulez, andromeda, anderl, torwächter, Peco, Mavmagic, Xanadoo, Johni11, Mymy, biskut. I hope you all have a great life. xXkillerprofiXx

They merged Portugal's server which was very active with Brazil's server... the 2 servers were not even in the same continent and started having massive ping issues making the game unplayable for thousands. That and rise of the gor is what made me quit

Great, you only talked about PvP stuff though. You could have added that today farming is completely irrelevant. Back then, you could farm for PvP materials, herbs, cloths, osiris stones and much more. People who like to farm a lot also quitted the game.

I really liked those ideas! They would have some potencial. And the other thing is, no matter how good your PC is, the game is limited because of DX9, runs like crap. I would come back if they fixed at least performance.

I love the work and effort you’ve put in every video since day 1 on this channel, the detailed timeline, the voiceover, the theories, the news, the variety of videos showcasing what happened, I really love this channel and it brings back my childhood memories and nostalgics just by seeing how dedicated you are to 4story, you’ve made many many happy with your effort even if Zemi Interactive is going to disappoint us (like always) but you really have my respect. Tons of love from Egypt (One of UK’s server oldest warriors)

Nunca he podido sentir lo mismo que sentía jugando al 4story del 2009 , es una pena yo deje de jugar a los 2 años porque mi abuela tenia un pc y me lo dejaba hasta que se mudó y me quede sin pc jajaja y luego me olvidé del juego, pero en 2018 volví y no era para nada lo mismo, ya no había gente leveleando personajes en las misiones del principio , el mapa estaba muerto, y un montón de cosas diferentes , todo el mundo que jugaba ya era lvl super alto, que tristeza me da saber que el juego ya murió , pero me quedo con la pila de gente que conocí y lo feliz que fui leveleando mi conjurador y todos los momentos dentro del juego y con los gremios :D

Pues si entraras ahora, ya no hay jugadores ni en la capital del Juego, lo increíble es que el juego siga abierto parece que lo usen para blanquear dinero

It used to be called Gates of Andaron in my country and it was really popular. Pretty sure more people played it here than WoW. Servers were so full that the main cities were lagging constantly. Then I quit for a year and when I came back there was nobody playing anymore. All my +24 items worthless.

I spent many years when I was young in 4Story with friends. The game was very p2w and grindy purchasing and reseding things if you wanted to get things without cash. PvE was very poor. The only thing that I miss about 4Story is the PvP. The docs, the world pvp in the docs, ardir battles, conquers, castles and tournaments. If World of Warcraft added in a new expansion something like conquest zones in 4Story, it would be the best game

4Story is in this state because devs don't care. In 2019 players got WoW Classic, in 2023 Aion Classic. They could get players again with fresh start and maybe go in another direction with development. But MMORPGs aren't mainstream anymore and you can't milk players like in the past so they are probably not interested in this.

I quit because of the Mission 10 removal and the extreme power creep on equipment. Not just the level cap and the new PVP armor made me leave, also having to get new jewlery. And how would I have gotten that? Certainly not farming, but spending more money.

My advice would have been : announce that 140 level cap at least 6-8 months before the patch. So players have enough time to farm again for their future characters without feeling betrayed for Zimi making their hard earned armors and weapons a little less useful

Nice video, but in my opinion the future of 4Story has been for many years the private servers. Official 4Story has shown no interest towards the game and their community so people should come back and play private servers.

1:55 I remember how long I leveled up this character to max lvl and next 6 other to get 6x 140 on main serwer PL, now i have 10 x 140, never again

The most enjoyable thing about this game is the PvP, all the tactical skills etc, but unfortunately they just wanted to farm, I'm still waiting for a PvP server to come out but I think I'll die waiting

i think Gf in license had one job and tell Zemi what players wanted and Zemi stopped making patches as result a lot people started writing Zemi on Twitter after items lvl 44 and lvl 140 if anything this is just my view but P-Servers is mostly populated than officials and most people wanna have before patch Rise of Gor and have 3.4 feelings animations and etc in my view only one P-Server stays that way mostly but is not that much still having 80-120 population if something i will like to see somebody make vanilla server but in this times is not enought and making new server you need copy others and make something yourself better i have few friends that is developers but is harder to make new servers than in history

I quitet a long time ago on the official servers Since gor ig, not sure... U spawn with all spells And u just need to buy the +16 gear and run down the hole story until 100+ just by use Fkey and aoe dmg

upgrading the gear was never fun and easy for me in 4story,, i always had +14 and nothing higher bcs of poor money and the fact that the game was heavly p2w with very unforgiving upgrade fails thats the main reason i left the game

I played 4StoryUk server and had a +22/23 full gear set and +22 pvp weapons on my feline warrior. I quit when they changed the upgrade levels to +28 it was years of sheer luck (upgrading gambling) and grinding to even get +23, it really left a sour taste in my mouth so I full quit the game. It’s like having saved ££$$ for life and suddenly your countries currency goes worthless overnight.

@@xerathotp had a pre 07 patch with +12 crit (the max you could get) dragon hunter crossbow was easily just below the tourny weapons in terms of power :/

i think the problem is not the patches the problem is the community for itsellf ... Players crying alltime im dying and the others are guilty but not the guy who cry... toxic players toxic community and toxic childrens and p server it will be everytime funny when its closed xd and open next server and players think gf or zemi is guilty because many players left :D the only person who ist guilty from the fact 4s is broken its everybody who played this game
