4t65e Forward Band Replacement. ZZPerformance High Energy Band. 07 Grand Prix pt 2

Trying to Fix this 4t65e. Lotsa fun. My Camera Split this Video at 30 Minutes. These are the Last Minutes before I had to take a Break.

Would u say thats r problem if we only go 1st and 2nd and also what would make it really under powered

It's a No Drive in Drive. They will run in manuel mode on the Run-on Band. Low 1 and 2 work on the Run on Band/Decelerate Band. The Run-on Band slips. So, driving without the Forward Band will make it pull sluggishly. It builds heat also. So, don't drive it much. It should make it Home if it's reasonably close. Don't push it fast. 20-30 is the end of 2nd without over revving.

I got no forward what so ever but got reverse. Had to drive it in manual to get it home now it won’t move forward. I took off the pan and noticed the forward band is done for. Would this fix my problem? I’m trying to save a buck lol

If you have low 3 and it moves forward on the overrun band by revving the engine more. And reverse still works. It's the forward band. No Drive. Everything else sort of works in low 3. If, there's a piece of the forward band in the pan and the flood is good. I'd change the forward band. It's not a job for beginners. There are other videos of changing it on Impalas. I've only changed them on Gran Prixs.

And also how much transmission fluid suppose to go into the 4T65e

I think it was around 7 liters. after repair with filter change. Around 12 liters. if the Torque Converter and case are empty.

@christopher watson did you have to take both tires off or just this one tire to do this and also how long did it take you to do this whole replacement band from start to finish

I took the drivers side tire off only. Only took out the left side Driveshaft. I'm not sure exactly how long to repair it with the Transmission Service. 6 to 8 hrs.

Around 6 to 8 hrs. with the filter service. I don't have a lift. I used floor jacks and a Engine holder mounted on the Fenders. That includes retrieving parts and getting the check ball locations for the valve Body.
