Does this build in Model3 and Model2 work? I purchase the Retrostation PC4U 4TB that is similar to this build and a lot of games will not work in Model 2 and Model 3. My favorite is Star Wars Trilogy in Model 3 and will not work in the Retrostation PC4U 4TB. Retrostation PC4U 4TB 60,000 games runs around 180.00 dollars by the time you pay taxes and import duties coming from Spain. This build runs around 420.00 dollars and it's little expensive but you get what you pay for. Thanks for the great video

the 5tb one is okay, its made in china it is not polished, the emulator settings and shaders are mostly on default, you don't have as much customization, no customer service, etc... so this one is better in many ways.... if you don't mind the excess roms and just want the games it's still plenty good as mentioned not as polished. The 5tb does not have xbox 360, xbox, nintendo switch, playstation 3 and a few newer systems as well, it also does not have the lightgun options as ready...a lot of little differences... Everyone wants something different, figure out what systems and games you want to play and then choose

He uses TeamViewer which is an optional tool to add. It's mainly for repairs or to help someone setup theor system if they can't do it on their own.

You have to assign the Drive to D. So if your pc assigned it to E or some other letter you would just uave to assign it to D

you could but it would basically only be for the roms to be used as the XSX has to be in Dev mode and then you have to preconfigure each emulator there. So its not a real easy process for the Xbox at this time, but he is working on a simple one for it. just takes time.

I did download coinops and core and and i find it very limited and hard to follow all the build they offer . So i find this retrobeast 2 years ago and make my life easier with the plug and play feature and free update. I am not a tech savvy so if you don't know how to set up your own retro gaming i think this retrobeast is perfect and it as 96TB Great video

Looks really great, some may complain about the price but people have to remember time is money. It must take hours upon hours to build one of these things. Plus he is using a quality 4 TB hard drive, not some junky cheap drive that will last a year and then die on you. I currently don't have the need for this but eventually when I build a full size cabinet, this would be perfect. The only complaint I have is there is no ICO for PS2, one of my favorite game of all time.

I’ve been collecting Rom’s, building PC’s and emulating for years, Retro Beast is the absolute best way to game period. His 96TB version is the ONLY complete gaming library in the world (with the exception of consoles that are still releasing games)… not to mention everything that’s compatible with it. You can curate your collection for 20 years and it wouldn’t touch Virtual Beast 5. This isn’t an Amazon drive that’s just filled with emulators and rom’s.

is this the end of development as we see it? once the parasitic drive sellers are getting publicized, it's over, actual devs shut down, it's all stolen work, done by others for free, everything he offers is free, lovingly put together by actual developers for the good of the community, then stolen, filled with roms, and sold for cheap shortsighted profit, (usually a lot uglier, missing art, mashed up themes) it stops the chain I suppose, the seller won't have anything to steal, but the community loses regardless, Vman is gone, CoinOPS is behind closed doors, who's next, very disappointed to see this getting publicity, for the price of a free harddrive, disappointing

Someone ELSE gives feedback, yet another someone ELSE makes improvements, he downloads and puts on his drive. His time is not fucking irideum while we all wallow in silica. You take the time to learn to do it once, JUST ONCE, sure it's a process, but then you know it, and can do it yourself f or a reasonable price. Every system I build and put on ebay or marketplace, I have a retro drive in there. Adds appreciation and has helped my turnover rate immensely. And I've found MOSTD people DO want to learn to do it themselves as long as they have someone to guide them thru it.

Not everyone will get into everything but they can. and lets say they mess up everything. Well the update will re right their mess up and get everything working again. No other hard drive setup is offering this. I know i won't convince you as you're dead set on your opinion. I was just trying to point out the diggest differance between Kris setup and everyone elses. I bought his setup. I went in and tried to learn stuff. I messed up alot of stuff, but all i had to do was an update to get everything fixed and back running like it was supposed to be. I wish you luck in your endevor to sell your hard drive setups. I have to ask - why are respected reviewers now promoting these “for purchase” builds? The sellers are not the original developers so they really don’t know how these builds work nor understand the interdependencies. These “for sale” builds are just ripped off from an open source project and are riddled with incomplete artwork, dysfunctional themes, and cobbled together/mismatched attempts at “full sets.” Saddened that these “for sale” reseller blob drives are making it into actual reviewers playlist/reviews. Just my two cents, but understand there are superior builds developed by teams of true enthusiasts who strive for perfection and a truly immersive retro experience - FOR FREE. These reviews only promote the bastardization of the original work which is then whored out by ignorant and sloppy “pimps.” Mad respect to your channel, but please reconsider promoting these resellers; doing so actually stifles true development by those that create the original underlying builds used. This is an monstruosity using CoinOPS and CORE Type R layout, artwork and ROMS. Kriscoolmod uses work from others and isn't able to create something original and prefer to steal others work and claim it as its own work. Don't support this type of work and vote with your wallet by not buying from shady sellers like him. @Drewtalks, lucky you to have this external drive that you can format and use for real personnal stuff.
