330maniac sometimes gets 5, and I've seen other trappers get that many too. 4 is probably the normal average. I once caught a pregnant female in season, she had 4 little fetuses in her. I was actually surprised she had bred that early. But then I once skinned a november red fox vixen that had embryos in her. I checked due to her nipples showing more than normal. Another time someone bought me a roadkill red that had 8 fetuses, when 5-6 is normal. I once had a roadkill BIG female otter come in, she had 2 in her. They were hit in the late season. I have 1 of the otters preserved in a jar.

Last year I caught the big female then 5 2 year olds then the next place caught caught both adults and 3 pups that was all in that bid pond they didn’t have any huts but bunch of bank dens
