4th Gen Eclipse Spyder how to Remove the Stereo Amplifier

Good video dude. Anyway you can make a video close up of the wiring on the amp harness. Two wires of mine came loose and now I have no sound up front but I can't figure out where they are supposed to go. It's white/red and black/red wires. They don't even go to the amp but to the bigger harness that is there by the amp. Thanks for the help.

If you have a full system with subs. And you have only tweet and back speakers. Working the amp is dead

Angel Greh all good bro. Remember the front and back subs are powered with the amp. And the head unit does the tweet and the back.

Hunter merrick. Going through same with mine. Putting DVD double din head in. I'm thinking about taking the factory amp out and replacing with new amp. There is also a wiring harness interface kit u can buy to use stock amp.

No Sorry. The Stock amp is only for Fostgate. If you change the head unit. you have to bypass the stock amp. But if your puting an amp on a stock Head unit. You have to pass through the amp not the Head Unit.

Use MITO-01 wirng harness it has an amp interface that lets you use stock amp with the rca cables provided it sounds good.

Hey man im trying to put a whole aftermarket system in. I have speakers, 2 12s and a headunit but i read online if you put the aftermarket headunit in you lose your two front speakers bc they're powered off the oem amp. Do you know how to hook up the oem amp to the headunit and still be able to run the 2 12s off an aftermarket amp?

Thats True. The Stock Amp Powers the Front and Sub only. The Head Unit Powers the Tweaters and Back Speakers. Sorry You cant Bridge the Stock AMP. I tried that before

I have this same issue! Anywhere I take it they say they don’t know, and the guy that did said I needed new wire harness/new stereo and was trying to charge me $600.00 haven’t figured it out since but literally same issue to a T.

Honestly it seems like a lot of work for the teacher to run your own wires from the head unit to the doors

Does the rockford sound system come with an amp? I think u said it did but i just felt the need to make sure. If so, can i hook a second subwoofer to it or would i have have to buy a new amp?

Yes it does. It Powers the base and the front left and right speakers

Yes. Or you have to do the whole wiring from front and rear speakers. Took me a minute to figure it out

Ledgardo D Chino Ardy Lacson is it possible i run run wires from my second subwoofer to the factory amplifier. I tried but i cant get it to work. I see the clamp and the route it takes for the original subwoofer. I just dont know how to hook the sound up. Like, where is the positive and negative.

Also I am going to do another Video, how to get a Cheap Speaker Replacement for the stock woofer on the Spyder. I did mine already. The Speaker was at Walmart for only $15 no joke. and it sounds the same and a Little better. Dual Coils and its the best way to replace the 8 inch woofer. They have PYLE or BOSS.

Thats the Real Reason. The AMP powers the Front and Subs, while the head unit powers the Tweeters and Rear speakers. Your not alone, This is the Reason I made the Video.

No it won’t cause a dtc. It’ll just stop working and when I hooked a snap on scanner it has no info about the amp. So I assume the car doesn’t know it’s in there

Today I turn on 07 eclipse and my sub makes a popping noise and head unit will not turn on. E DC error code displayed. Anybody else had this problem? Has my amp failed?

The only way to know your Stock Amp is dead is when your radio is on and all you hear is the Back and Front Tweeters. In your Case the unit wont turn on. Meaning the Head Unit is Bad, But check the Fuse to it first. I have to say, when the 4th Grn came out it was amazing lokking car, But The Parts and how it was build was so CHEAP.
