An employee at Moods music told me that this should go down as the BEST Essence festival show in history. I read and saw concert reviews all over the net when it happened and he NEVER us down and STILL exceeded our expectations every time. That is why I'm STILL mourning.

I was there with one of my best friends. It was my fifth and final time seeing Prince. Huge fan. Had been an Essence regular. I came home telling everyone his performance was utterly ridiculous it was SO GOOD!

This was a beautiful ❤️ concert l am so glad that I 💕 got to see Prince perform live in Saginaw Michigan my home town way back on February 4 1982 my senior year of highschool for his Controversy tour with his band the Revolution l so wished that he could have remained married to his love ❤️ ly Sweetheart and wife Matye Prince ❤️ still love ❤️ his wife Matye no matter how much he tried to move on in another direction the heart 💜❤️ loves what the heart 💜 love s Prince left us way too soon he is sorely missed rest easy Prince we 💕 love you this is Geraldine Walker from Saginaw Michigan

My sister and her husband was at this show.. It was their first time seeing Prince live. I remember her saying to me "I now understand why you loved Prince all of these years!"

I 💕 have been a huge Prince fan since he burst on the music scene way back in 1978 with his first album For You l was fourteen years old back in 1978 Prince was a 19 year old Superstar back then with his smash hit Soft and Wet blasting on my radio l was in the eighth grade playing my instrument the clairnet and performing Rick James hit Give it To me in our marching school band way back in 1978 at age 14 years old and l got to see Prince perform live in Saginaw Michigan my home town for Prince Controversy tour on February 4 1982 Prince was standing on stage wearing his black bikini brief underwear with a red ♥️ bandana tied around his neck looking gorgeous strutting across the stage teasing all the ladies being the leading ladies man Prince brought with him his band the Revolution band members Dez Dickerson and Brown Mark and Dr Fink and Bobby z and Lisa Coleman along with Morris Day and the Time and Roger Troutman and Zapp the concert was epic gold Prince rocked Saginaw Michigan then l saw him in Monroe Louisiana that same month on February 25 1982 for that same Controversy tour at that concert Prince insisted that all of us lady fans sing to him his smash hit Do me Baby then Prince sung Do me Baby to us this was my Senior year of highschool 1982 l was 18 years old back then Prince was 23 years old back in February 1982 again 💖 the concert was epic spectacular 💕 gold Prince had not yet recorded his Purple Rain album remember l saw Prince perform in1982 it hurts my heart ❤️ ❤️ to see Prince perform here in 2014 at the concert in New Orleans knowing that this was his last band cause when I saw Prince perform live in Saginaw 1982 in my home town and my senior year of highschool Prince was23 years old performing on stage with his first band the Revolution one female vocalist Lisa Coleman and his multicultural band members Dez Dickerson and Dr Fink and Bobby z way before multi cultural bands were popular so to see Prince perform on stage with his last band saddens my heart ❤️❤️💜❤️ l wish Prince had stayed married to Mayte 💕 his love he lost my confidence when he split from his truelove rest easy Prince we 💕 love you this is Geraldine Walker from Saginaw Michigan

It has been some years since Prince did a conert in New Orleans his later years he toured more over seas than in the United States he was in Europe and Australia more in his early early career he was in the deep South more back in the early eighties before his Mega Purple Rain album came out I'm sure the fans way down South was very happy 💕😊 to see their 💕 beautiful ❤️ Super star but 😢😭 sadly this time Prince came to say goodbye for the final time Prince knew you xd 💖 s Ss could see the look on Prince face 👀 he knew that he was taking his last walk across the stage at the Superdome what a phenomenal presence Prince had in this world rest easy Prince we 💕 you this is Geraldine Walker from Saginaw Michigan

Prince was and will remain the Most ❤️ Phenomenal Artist of all time ❤️ However I 💕 did not like his Afro Prince was far to handsome to be wearing an Afro Prince was such a beautiful ❤️ Superstar with all of that Mega talent until he never had to low his standards to fit in anywhere regardless of what type of audience he was performing for sing the same time songs every where because no matter how 💕 you change your outer appearance your 💜❤️ inner person remains the same and this Afro on Prince made him look much older than when he wears his famous classical Curls Overall his sound was Excellent Rest easy Prince we 💕 love you this is Geraldine Walker from Saginaw Michigan

Prince was the Greatest Rock Super star in this Universe He was not a good Representation of Black People as a whole ❤️💜 He played Rock Music excellent but l dislike his R and B music R and B did not mix well with Rock it was off Prince looked Good and his voice 💕 was strong but R and B music made him sound much older and I don't like him old Rock music made him sound good and Young and Timeless 💕 Rest easy Prince we 💕 love you this is Geraldine Walker from Saginaw Michigan
