I haven't used my weather radio yet. I get alerts and warnings on my phone, TV, and via Alexa.

Weather radios combined with IEMBot are very useful. I usually get alerts about 30 seconds before the TV gets the alert, and even in the case of a Tornado Warning for me I never seem to get a WEA even though I have them on.

EAS alerts should not sound for watches. Only warnings.

The only reason that the radio did not go off for the SVA is because I had it set to the display setting on accident, so it only displayed it and didn't use the alarm. And a watch is usually only used when severe weather is expected, not in cases where random scattered storms occur.

That is not I good Idea you know why BECAUSE WATCHES PREPARE YOU FOR THE SEVERE WEATHER BEFORE THE STORM

@Weatheradiosandmore I see watches on my phone or my weather app. I don't need a warning siren for that. I only need a warning siren for something I need to be warned about, like high winds, severe storm, or a tornado.

Not much happened where I live, however there was a confirmed tornado in Metro Louisville that was originally considered thunderstorm wind damage. NWS came out and officially ruled it an EF-1 tornado. Just glad it didn't start moving to the southwest 😅

@@MoonIxght Dang, I don't get tornados where I live. ( We get them in the state just not in my area)

The area I live in hardly gets any, however miles north of me gets tornadoes rarely, but more commonly than my area does.
