What this is really showing is high school rankings are a minimal indication of a players true potential. Lamar Jackson was a 4 star, Mahomes was a 3 star and Tom Brady was unranked. Yet, it also proves Cam Newton was legit.

My coaches called the punishment “fun bunch” . I was on “fun bunch” for a whole season where I had to do unnecessary running bear crawls etc before practice.. I took the same approach Cam did as it’s “no getting better than me”, using the punishment as motivation. I’m an entrepreneur and quit ball my first year college ..😂

I think for a lot of “talent” people they assume that everything they do should come easy because they’re talented. Talent is just a modicum of future success. There’s so much more that goes into being successful. One must train, practice, stay committed and have the right mental attitude to be successful. Tom Brady is the perfect example of that. He was relentless in his pursuit towards excellence. He knew he had to work hard, very hard to be successful. On the other hand, people who are labeled as talented aren’t always as diligent as they should be. They rely on their God given talent. They think it should come easy to them. And while that maybe true some of the time, it isn’t true all the time. When the challenges become increasingly difficult they aren’t equipped to train even harder. Instead the become discouraged, frustrated and even frightened when what they normally do isn’t working. It takes more than talent.

Stop lying, Tom Brady wasn't a zero star athlete. In terms of recruiting in the 2000s, Brady would have been considered a three or four-star recruit. He was a highly rated prospect. Brady was also on Blue Chip Illustrated as well as a Prep Football Report All-American selection.

QB is the worst evaluated position in sports, and nobody will ever change my mind. No position in any major sport is more reliant on the mental side of the game, or the supporting cast. Stat lines more often represent the team than the player. I think that's why 'mobile' QBs tend to get more traction in drafts, because if all else fails they still have their legs.
