To be honest…I don’t even think it would work well for your hair. I know the texture of your hair and I don’t think it would do much 😭😭😭 but maybe I’m wrong

After your review I’m getting nervous to try it lol. Your issues with it are exactly what I was worried about. I use the uncle funkys and I create hold as well but the I like to use a curl cream under sometimes too. And I lather them all on, so I’m curious to see how 4U can hold up. But I’m gonna try the curl cream and gel only. If it’s really for all hair types and that’s the extent of their styling line, it should be able to muscle up. We’ll see🤣

You confirmed by suspicion that the conditioners are not for 4C hair. In reviewing the ingredients on the back of each container, there was only one major nonionic surfactant, i.e., fatty alcohol, which is the Ceteraryl Alcohol and the rest of the ingredients are emollients, I figured it would feel like a runny and thin mixture. Thanks for trying the products. It helped a lot.

This review went exactly how I thought it would. 4U doesn’t seem like it’s 4 type 4. Even the one post they made of a type 4 girly looked crazy. But I feel like this always happens when brands try to label one product for all when it just doesn’t work that way. Thanks for the review boo! very imformative!!

I wanted to love it but as soon as the gel hit my hair, I knew better 😭 they definitely need a line specifically for type 4s. This is a line for people with transitioning hair or fine strands IMO

Listen! I actually didn't see that video until after I bought the products, but I don't think any type 4 would consider her hair typical "black hair" The gaslighting in the promo videos is...a lot. Having type 4s as the thumbnail but never actually showing them using the product is WILD.

Thanks so much for the detailed review. I also don’t like when natural hair lines don’t have deep conditioners included. I am interested in trying this line but I’m not a fan of the bottle designs. I actually prefer my products in jars or pump bottles but I also don’t style in the shower. I am intrigued and though I know don’t have type 4 hair, I am interested to see if this line provides moisture since the key ingredient is that hemi complex which is supposed to provide a lot of moisture. Would you consider trying the cream and gel together?

I do prefer a pump for my gels! Ok so you know about the hemi 15 I’m surprised that moisture it’s a big part of that because I didn’t feel like my hair was left moisturized. I was thinking about giving it another try with the curl cream, but I won’t get my hopes up about it. Interested to see your results because I think you have the hair type these were actually formulated for.

The 4U brand has said that these brands are for “all hair types,” I would take that with a grain of salt. However, based on that statement, it should work regardless of porosity. I have highpo hair and it didn’t work for me, your results could def be different.

I've watched several reviews of this line. The gel appears to be geared toward hair textures that clump & form defined curls/coils on their own. Naturals with tight coils & kinks often need a product to clump & define their coils & lock them in place. This gel, unfortunately, ain't it. Tia needs to come out with stylers for tight coils & kinks.

Yea I honestly would have preferred for them to just say this was for looser curl types and then put in more research and launch a separate line for tighter coils. The gel is really light weight and just didn't hit the mark as far a definition or moisture IMO.

NP! Hmmm that with the UFD would be an interesting mix, although I think the curly magic can hold its own when it comes to slip and definition. The 4U gel isn't coming close to what curly magic can do.
