@All4AdventureTV 12:36 i say it to all the 4wd channels. carry a heap of foam ear plugs with you when 4wding. put them in the drains in the bottom of the doors before you set off through water crossings and it will reduce(if not stop all together) water intake via the doors. as long as your seals are good everywhere else, it can buy you alot of recovery time and also means you dont need to rush through water crossings. just cruise on through and enjoy the adventure. i use the same idea in my own 4wd and it gives me the ability to drive through longer crossings and to wash my car in rivers and creeks without flooding it.

Boys love your vidoes since I was in my early late teens. Now I’m 30 and have my own family of 5 and we love it all. Oldest kid got hooked when I was watching recaps from when the 200 got bogged at Lorella and Simon put the 79 for a short nap. His 6yo now and we’ve been enjoying all your ep. Unreal. Got to say this Ep really had the kids on their seat when the D-Max drowned. Kids were stressed it wasn’t going to turn over. (We’ve seen stuff up at Frazer and Double Island on our travels) and should have seen them cheering when it smoothed out. Keep up the content and adventure!

I'm guessing from the push-button start that Kyle's Dmax is the posh LS-T version with the leather seats and the electric seat adjustment. I'd be interested to know how well all that electrickery survived the dunking. I've got an LS-T myself and I've never tested it to see how all that stuff works after you turn the inside into a swimming pool. Give us a morning-after report on that stuff.

I always wondered why you ended the snorkels right there seems like a bad design if the water washes up your windshield which it seems to do a lot in my case. Also, you should have some type of a tip on there or at least extend it up on to the roof.

I don't think it's any surprise if you think through why these exsist on the market, this style is cheaper for random shops around aus with an online store and a bloke that can half-weld to make out of pipe ad-hoc. Compared to a proffesional engineering/automotive aftermarket company investing in an actual mold for each model/vehicle and professionally producing a quality product that doesn't howl in the wind, fails to shear/redirect the flow of an upward bow wave or look like garbage :) I think people were fitting the cheap aliexpress knock-off plastic units > getting leaks and then the fashion became installing these garbage straight pipe units to avoid leaks along the snorkle assembly and people forgot all the other design requirements for a snorkle were lost 🙃

FYI, the red stuff on the rocks is from the high iron content in the granite slowly seeping out and reacting with the salt in the air, it somewhat crystalises and creates a red coating on the rocks.
@paulmasson59712 жыл бұрын
Sorry to be that person but the red on the rocks is a type of lichen, especially striking around the Bay of Fires in eastern tassie. Happy to be corrected if I’m wrong.

There can be quicksand in level spots on the beach where water is making its way underneath the crust! If you know where to look you can still see some roofs showing. Ps there is NO spots out of the wind! Tassy, best place on earth.....once you are used to the weather. As locals will tell you, if you don't like the weather come Back this arvo!

Obvious errors. It's either done for the camera or these guys are completely out of their depth (pun intended). 1. didn't mark track where the wader had walked through therefore went in deeper section of the crossing. The vehicle could have rolled into a deeper section trapping & drowning the occupants. 2. Way, way too fast . 3 No recovery strap or winch line ready to go before vehicle attempts the crossing. 4. unsure but tyres look to be at full pressure, wrong, wrong , wrong. This vehicle is probable a write off or will have life long electrical problems with all that (possibly salty) water in the engine bay. Most of us don't get a sponsored replacement vehicle. I bet Isuzu wouldn't warranty any related claim. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a bit of adventure and have done many water crossing in my 80 series but this was nut's. In my humble opinion.
@brucehayes7251 Жыл бұрын
It's only as bad as dragging tons of toys behind you and complaining about the struggle. Early on these guys were quite entertaining but with all the sponsors tagging along it really has become a giant commercial,very same thing happened to 4wd action. Smash and bash driving , helicopter drops with new tyres and seemingly endless amounts of bravado rather than care and mechanical sympathy
@mduduzimkhabela22452 жыл бұрын
Is it not normal procedure that if your air filter is wet,then you take out the plugs and turn the engine. Otherwise you risk hydrolocking the engine if you start it with water in the pistons.
Did you empty the intercooler 😱. Always empty the intercooler, it's the lowest part of the air track and can hold a lot of water 👍
