Best informative suspension install I've seen. I like the fact that you used basic tools and no hoist, as most home installs would not have a hoist. Great video.

Thanks! 👍 Yes most people don't own a hoist, I wish I did at times.

Hi, Re - the rear shocks, I noticed that the adjustment dial/ knob is up the top as opposed to another one of their rear shocks that have the dial at the bottom. I gather your dial is at the top, because of the " adjustable threaded spring seat" at the bottom. I like your choice of the threaded spring set shock , as it might negate the need to spend money on different uppercontrol arms. Great video. You're very thorough in explaining things.
@TheBrowneTown9 ай бұрын
Adjustable spring seat is only available on the front shocks. The rear shocks are just standard shocks, I think the adjustment is down the bottom of the rear shocks and the top of the fronts.

Hey mate, excellent video. In there you mentioned your bump stops at the rear were loose, did this end up being an issue if so what did you do to fix it, or are they fine?
@TheBrowneTown5 ай бұрын
Haven't touched them since. They're still there so I think it's all good but I did find it weird.

I forgot to mention that I'm leaning towards 300kg constant as the 500 kg would be too much . My problem ( if it's a problem), is the rear carry weight is approx 400kg and I wish they offered a 400kg constant. I have an ' iron man add a leaf' kit - new /never used. I was wondering what your thoughts are if I include these in the spring assembly, My thinking is that it will put it half way between the 300 and the 500 to better cope with my carry load. When we go camping ( 2 times a year), all the carpentry tools come out and the camping gear would barely make half my normal carry weight and I thought the adjust dial on the rear , might help for a better ride. Thanks

I am also probably heavier than 400kgs but not at the 300kgs mark in the rear. Hmm not too sure to be honest what weight value the iron man add a leaf would add, or if it depends where it is added or to what kit. Not familiar with them at all.

Can the px3 front shock fit on the px2?
@TheBrowneTown7 ай бұрын
Not sure. If a 3rd party suspension company sells different parts for those models then I'd say no.

Very well edited video mate. Curious, you obviously didn’t see the need to replace the Upper Control Arms? Opinions on this seem split when doing a 2” lift. No issues with the castor angle during the wheel alignment? I’m looking at the same setup as yours on a PX3 Ranger.
@TheBrowneTown Жыл бұрын
Yeah I wanted to avoid it, extra cost and everything that's why I went the 2 inch lift and tried to underspring the car. They never mentioned any issues to me when I did the wheel alignment so I believe it's still got the tiniest bit of adjustment there to compensate. Any higher and I'd definitely need them.

Great video mate, lots of good information for people in the future. I just did my PX2 with a Dobinsons kit. Waiting for it to settle and retorque everything before I do the centre bearing, which kit did you use for yours?
@TheBrowneTown Жыл бұрын
That kit was included with the Outback Armour suspension for Rangers and BT50s because I believe the issue is more common on these cars.

Awesome video, I just had this set up installed the other day. I noticed I now have creak when turning hard right. Did they do something wrong doing install, what could I check?
@TheBrowneTown6 ай бұрын
Hmm, I'm not an expert by any means so would be hard to say without hearing or seeing it. Is it like a squeal? Not sure to be honest.
@jaiden67106 ай бұрын
@@TheBrowneTown definitely a creak when at hard right turn and low speed. And can feel it a little through the steering wheel. Also just found my sway bar link was left loose so tighten that up but the noise is still there.

great video mate, this is something i have been toying with doing, overall are you happy with how this kit feels now after a few weeks? hows the front cv's going?
@TheBrowneTown Жыл бұрын
It's going good, I did the retightening of everything and the u-bolts definitely needed to be nipped up, everything else was fine. Haven't re-measured the heights though to see if it has settled. Handling is better, way better, it feels like a new car because it was quite heavy before for standard springs etc and it used to roll a lot in corners and braking has improved as well.

Hey dude, How much do you actually adjust the rebound? Having a lift installed shortly and shop recommended the performance expedition. I think an xtra $600 to upgrade to adjustable. Thanks
@TheBrowneTown7 ай бұрын
Originally I went about half way on front and rear. Have since adjusted the rear to be more stiff but can't remember maybe by 4 or 5 clicks from half way
@yosefbegic88517 ай бұрын
@@TheBrowneTown okay so you actually do use the clickers. Just weighing up if I need that feather for the extra money. You’d think given the price of even the expedition they would have the valve adjusted to suit the car pretty good without any further adjustments required.
@TheBrowneTown7 ай бұрын
You don't need them. Most people set and forget anyway roughly in the middle. I was meant to try the softest setting, then the hardest, then try see what I liked but I never got round to it. I did firm the back up a touch because I felt it was moving more than I wanted.

Excellent video. I have a 2016 Ford Wildtrack 3.2 Diesel in Belize, would like to get a full front and rear suspension kit from Outback Armour, is the suspension system in the Ford Wildtrack the same as the 2016 Mazda BT50?
@TheBrowneTown10 ай бұрын
I actually am not sure about the Wildtraks but my guess would be yes. If you check out their website you'll be able to see the part numbers and compare to my car I guess, but I dare say the install will be 95% the same.

Hi Steve, any reason why you decided to go with outback armour instead of the others?
@TheBrowneTown Жыл бұрын
Just word of mouth, they have a really good reputation, although the price has risen a lot the last 3 years. Guys that did the canopy said they were good and I know two people who have them as well.

Can you lower the front will it’s still in or do you need to remove it first?
@TheBrowneTown Жыл бұрын
Has to be out, need to compress the springs so there's no tension on there, loosen the grub screw and change it. Will be hard to compress the springs as well (any workshop could do it though).
