Jocko Welcome to the club. No doubt you have learnt the secret handshake, the discrete Disco Nod and the wave to other Landies on the road! People see a land rover on the side of the road with the bonnet up and assume that they are broken down, but really this is just a call to other Landie owners to stop and have a chat and a cuppa!
@RBC201513 сағат бұрын
Hello from the USA we do alot of rock crawling over here in our jeep. Just a bit of advice that I noticed in the video, on the jeep to make it alot more capable I'd recommend front swaybar disconnect. It'll give you way more articulation.
@mastersKaaP13 сағат бұрын
And make it much less safe/stable on the road or highway. In many of their vids they have to drive large distances to get to their most iconic destinations (1000+ km in some cases) and that jeep is also kitted out for overlanding (with that tray and canopy on the back). If this was a vehicle built for tracks only, then that might be a good idea, but in this case I'd say it's more worth it to keep the sway bar and have a more stable vehicle on the road than the 10-20% increase in articulation you might get out of it. Another thing to consider is that that jeep is a show car and T.C Boxes most likely drive it all over the country to show off at trade shows as well, which means that the majority of the car's life is probably spent on the highway anyways.
@heepjeeprn13 сағат бұрын
Disconnect not delete. It's super common here in North America to disconnect your sway bar for the trail and then reconnect it to get back home. Most kits are just bushings with cotter pins so it's super easy and takes about 10 minutes to install

Hell yea lol, glad someone else can see it to, had a 79 with a lift, tyres, bar work, full canopy and all the bells and whistles, but I was young and dumb with a lot of money to spend and honestly they are sooooo overrated it’s not funny, compared to my Chev 2500hd with a tray or my mothers ram 1500, with what’s on the market now if you want a big ute I still don’t get why the Land Cruiser is still held in such high regard or a status symbol for so many young blokes especially around where I live that almost go broke trying to buy one just because it’s a “”79 series cruiser”” and yea I have a sticker on the back of the tray of my chev that says “aww cute 79 series you got there” and my 79 that had all the bells and whistles almost costed as much as my chev and even more than my mothers ram and even her 1500 ram is better in my opinion and has a interior that’s not back in the 80s or 90s and far more creature comforts

I really liked the Raptor representation. That car is really capable and Dave is obviously a very skilled driver as well - he called it for the jeep and he nailed every single challenge. I know the Ford Raptor is a bit cliche, but it's nice to see how it compares to the other cars. Same with the jeep and landrover content, it's good to see some variety apart from Toyotas and Nissans for a change. I know the theme of these videos is to thrash the stock zuk and disco to see how much they can take, but I don't really like how the cars are abused for entertainment. It's not a good example of how you should drive your car and if some viewers go out and attempt to drive similar challenges in their stock vehicles (where they realistically do not belong) it's likely result in damage to and closures of tracks. You should do some low cost mods (similar to the pony) and show how that improves the capabilities of the vehicles and how that transforms the driving experience.
