Іn this forest, I found a huge uprooted spruce root. Its shape and texture became an excellent basis for future shelter.

Well... it is alot, for sure... But lets put this in perspective. In takes less than a day to put up each wall. A house you buy, even a bad one with lots of problems and pests in a poor location costs 1/4-3/4 of your living waking hours worked for most people to afford. So while I do appreciate a lot of it, when you would actually be better off in the ages gone by because at least back then they valued their citizens surviving, its hard not to hate the modern world and be nostalgic

A great use of natural resources, for a temporary shelter. Very creative and whimsical. I like the tiny stove, I don't think I have seen a portable wood stove so small, great idea for survival in the woods.
@CplcDesbiens

What? You mentionned "A great use of natural resources, [...]". Did you see the amount of cordage spent, all the wasted aluminium foil and the use of plastic bottle... I have to totally disagree with you.
@DB-iq1cr
@DB-iq1cr 15 күн бұрын
@@CplcDesbiens In the olden days cordage was made from natural fibers. Wet leaves were used instead of aluminum foil. Etc. Water bladders were made from internal organs. It is really realistic to duplicate all that?

@@CplcDesbiens It depends... This was a well done demo of a shelter-build-plus modern amenities. Since this was merely a demonstration of a shelter option, then no, he doesn't need to recreate them. However, if he was trying to show absolute survival reality, then probably yes, he should recreate them. In a real survival situation, there probably wouldn't be those modern amenities and he *would* have to craft them. (There also probably wouldn't be pumpkins growing in the woods like edible mushrooms. Yummmmm=;^),

In my country, learn from the author. Indiscriminate cutting and destroying the country's protected native plant environment is tantamount to a crime. The Forest Service will impose fines and you may be arrested and imprisoned. If you damage the native plant environment, you must apply in advance to avoid penalties.

I am always most impressed when large sheets of moss are peeled up and put on the building!! I live in Texas, USA and we just don’t have that kind of moss!

A lot of channels like this have a small team, off camera, helping them. The amount of calories *one person* would have to burn to build something like this is insane. He most definitely has a base close by and possibly someone manning the camera too. _Chop chop chop... move camera.... chop chop chop... move camera... chop chop chop..._ These kinds of videos are very misleading.
