Thanks for your video, and for giving all these examples. I only wish they sold a kit that also included the AN fitting set. I hear the AN die sets just come in a cardboard box for an extra 80-100$.

You're welcome, TEAMPHY6...Making safe brake plumbing is the goal. There's an epidemic of brake tube "rot" at areas where roads get salted in winter, the reason for all these flaring tools. I like a flare tool that produces a "factory" look, no marring at the clamping point and repeatable, predictable flares. My favorite of the bunch, a tool that meets each of these criteria, is the S.U.R.&R. PFT409. With the right benders and upgrade tubing, we can produce lines that duplicate original equipment yet last longer!

Mine came with a case. I went to the S.U.R.&R. site to confirm. It still does. Here is what you will get in the kit: surrauto.com/kits/pft409-2/. Click on the "Accessories", you'll see the blow mold case is included...I trust this helps.

John, this tool works very well and is preferred by loyal users. I have used and tested a number of flaring tools, and the SUR&R PFT409 is also a great tool within this price range. What I look for is a tool that will get consistent, repeatable results and not mar the tubing. The SUR&R PFT409 excels at both.

I did a quick search at Amazon for ballpark figures. The Mastercool 72475-PRC is currently $338.48 (U.S.). The 72485-PRC is $347.67 (U.S.). A Silver/Blue 72485-PRC model is $348.49 (U.S.). These same tools may be listed for less at the tool warehouse sources that offer discounts.

Glad this was helpful...Popularity and sales volume have driven the cost down. Mastercool builds commercial quality flaring tool sets. I also like the SUR&R PFT409, especially for its repeatability.
