I live near Davis-Montham in Tucson and get to hear these all the time (along with A-10's). This past June I was at Tucson airport, and our plane had an issue and maintenance came on board after pushing back from the gate, and needless to say the side door was open while they would come in/out of the plane. The National Guard (they use the same airstrip as the airport) was sending off from F22's for training flights.....and oh man that sound was incredible as they took off at such a close proximity.

@@wilcofaber9863 The F-16 only has 30,000lbs of thrust in burner. The F-22 has 70,000lbs in burner hence why it can climb so fast

@@wilcofaber9863 sir your statement is incorrect. If you watch the video the last f22 lift vertical before the end of runway. The f 16, f 15 and f 22 too just name a few can all go vertical as soon as the gear is up and locked because their thrust ratio is greater than zero. Being the lightest of the 3 mentioned that f 16 can break ground sooner than the others. This f 16 crew chief has seen it in action.

YF 23 went head to head with F22 .and YF 23 was superior air craft . The death of the YF23 was when it took off it was completely Stealth it was undetectable could not be located it vanished

I've seen amd heard them this week, perks to living on the flying route of a military airbase. Was wondering what the sound was because they sound different than our F16s or F35s. Glad to see the legendary planes in real life practicing here.

the f16 has the P&W 110, the F22 the 116 and the F35 the F135 engine. if you can tell the difference by sound then you are a genius. all pratt and whitneys and all developed based on each other using the the same principles.

@@timn4481 I don't know, I haven't heard the f22 in person, but its twin engine and the design of the 116 and subsequent 135 are like night and day different from older models given the thrust. I assume like with cars, the exhaust matters quite a bit for sound. The f22 has almost rectangular outlets which are movable +/- 20 degrees. I'm used to hearing Chinooks, A-10s, and B2s. One A-10 training squardon is stationed at whiteman AFB so seeing groups of 2 or 4 isn't uncommon even 60 miles west where I grew up. The B-2s are incredible. Seeing them fly in broad daylight - its like seeing the blackest bat (they don't look like birds from below) their silhouette is clearly defined against the blue sky. You can see them from quite far off, probably more than 20 miles, as this ominous blackness moves toward you. They almost look 2-D and cut out from our world, and they're super quiet for their size even right above you. Sometimes we get c17s or fuel tankers from central kansas but they're not as interesting.

Im in vegas near Nellis, Im fortunate to be able to see a lot of various military aircraft on a daily basis. Red flag is a must see for any mil-av fan.

@@Nervegas Nice, we don't get a lot of different planes here apart from one international training called Frisian flag and just a few weeks ago this practice with the USAF, don't think the F22s have been here before on a training mission though so it was cool to see and hear them.

@@322_smokey-aviation B-36's taking off from McCoy AFB, Florida. My dad saw the first P-38s delivered to the Army Air Corps for testing (Patterson Field, Dayton, OH) and for 6 months worked on the P-40 line in Buffalo, NY prior to entering the US Navy on his 18th birthday in 1943.

I don't think that you saw F-104 Starfighters doing the "exact same thing". Those F-104's had very poor maneuverability. They hated to do anything except fly in a straight line.

An incredibly capable aircraft. I am happy to see these and other NATO assets deployed to counter any Russian threat. Putin has to know even in that crazy mind of his that he is seriously outmatched on all fronts by NATO and its allies. Great footage!

@Tafzeel no they don't. They've only built 16 and ten of those are test aircraft. They've ordered 70 for delivery but they're taking an extremely long time to build and with sanctions now in place there really isn't much chance of them having enough serviceable aircraft ready in the immediate or foreseeable future.

Russia hasn’t touched anyone for years while nato (which existed as a retaliatory measure against the Warsaw pact which has been nonexistent now for 30 years) got closer and closer to Russian borders. We need literally 1000 more of those , nobody has ever been able to make something that capable and maintain it like the f22 program has been. yes the euro fighter and su57 might have a slight edge but those never work and aren’t hardly made. With all our gov waste on covid ,Ukraine and green scams the 60 billion to restart the production would be well worth it

Good footage. I noticed slovakia only transferred the migs to Ukraine to fight Russia after lots of delays. They said they were working out the polish and Czech 🇨🇿 air defense before they get new F-16s. However at the signing ceremony there were very obvious F-22s parked behind the crowd, and the US deployed some of their Alaskan based F-22s to Europe for the foreseeable future. I thought they were in Poland but are these them? I wasn't looking at their base id on their tail Edit* Ukraine to fight russia, half my sentence was missing

Hoi, Dick ik denk dat ze Volgende week vrijdag wel vliegen. Alleen de F22s en de Lakenheath F-35s zullen er waarschijnlijk niet zijn dan. De mooiste spotterplek inls bij marsum daar is een speciale bult om daar vanaf te spotten. Wat op dat moment de spottersplek is is lastig te zeggen. Want weet niet wat op dat moment de wind richting is
