I see lots of you guys rocking the Maxxis Trepador's. I've been on the fence about getting a set. How do you guys feel they hold up? Do they chunk really bad on the rocks? Sand get the bogged down? How do they handle in the smaller rocks? Do they hold stones really bad? How do they feel on the highways? Do they float really bad? Tramline in depressions on the road?

Yeah, the best tyre for rock crawling. We're running sticky compound, so they don't last long, about 10000 km. They don't chunk, but they wear quick. On sand they're ok if deflated below 10 psi. Smaller rocks or the bigger ones, piece of cake, no issue. Yeah, stones get stuck in between from the gravel, but that is expected with the chunky lugs you get. On highway they are surprisingly pretty smooth and quiet, except when cold until they warm up (bias). Float isn't an issue either when running at 35-40 psi, just can't drive too fast as they warm up pretty quick then start sticking to the road and losing tread. Nothing like a tram line, they are smoother than many radial muds out there.

Yes, it's heaps fun and much more control with an auto. Those tires are Maxxis Trepador (bias ply) and you can get them from Filthy Motorsports.

Really good viewing. I am wondering if you had many breakages such as CV's Diffs etc. Were the axles, CV's and Diffs beefed up compared to your earlier videos? Looks like Diff lockers were used also.
