4x4 features of 01 Mitsubishi Montero Sport vs 01 Nissan Xterra

Both Cars are stock. My opinion is that Xterra is slightly winning because of shorter wheel base and lil bigger clearance , but Montero is more comfortable and feel better for long distance trails. Both cars is not equipped with diff locks, just HI LO.

Thanks for this video, i am on the fence about getting a Montero Sport, i have driven one camping before and its a lot of fun, and just glides over everything its very lite. However, i don't know if it will be worth it, maybe a 4runner would be better. What do you think?

Over here in Australia Montero's are called Mitsubishi Challenger's. Very much worth it! Good trusty vehicle, plenty of power and fun to drive! Its stock as a rock and she can tackle some of the toughest Australian 4x4 tracks. Only bad thing about them is they guzzel fuel like no tomorrow and the lack of accessories. I cant even find somewhere to buy a snorkel kit.

I had a 2001 montero sport with a lift on it and on 33s, it was a great vehicle and sold it at 220k miles

@@omega3734 I drove a 2000 montero sport today for the first time since about 2004 when my sister had one.. I love the way the suspension felt but it still felt a little bit cramped like the first gen Xterra. My Rodeo has more space in the cabin but there is just something about the Montero suspension and I hear they have damn their bulletproof Motors and Transmissions. The thing is do I want to buy another SUV that's only going to get me 10 or 12 miles per gallon!? Can the Montero really hang with the Xterra which is considered by many the king of the SUVs?
