Omg 😍 I love it what a machine!! I'm a big rally fan and back in the day a guy called Andy Burton built a cosworth 306 back in 2006-2007ish that was a beast!! can't wait to see the car fully built 👌 think you need to get a show together at Santa pod or a track where all these cars get together and all us petrol heads can appreciate them 👌👍 keep up the great work and keep these gems coming 👌

This is how it should be real engine swap / transmission conversation. I dont like floorpan swaps. Even with best welders its not to correct way. Its just simple and sluggish way. But this beast show to how to build a perfect transmission tunnel and rear diff cradle on FWD car chassis. Very very very nice work. Excellent craftsmanship. I cant wait to see finished videos.

I've driven 106s and honestly I wouldn't want more than 150 bhp in one, they are so light I'm not sure how you keep traction beyond that let alone 500+bhp that's insane! Love how much care has been taken with the build though awesome job, Now let's see how she runs............

I have driven a 190 hp one (redline over 9k rpm) and it was ok. No traction problems. It was a track car, but I think it was on street tyres.

Oooooo, don't let Motorsport UK (formerly the MSA) hear you say the word spaceframe. - If it's intended to see any competition use. It's a Peugeot 106 with a comprehensive roll cage and strengthening. A lad I know built a very spicy Mk2 Escort with WRC style cage, extra sill bars (inside the sills) and a tubular-framed transmission tunnel, and initially the MSA refused it a logbook for stage rallying. They claimed it was a spaceframe chassis with bits of a Mk2 shell dropped over the top. (It isn't). He ended up having to take the car to M-Sport in Cumbria and get Mr. Wilson to confirm to the MSA that it was actually a Ford Escort Mk2 monocoque. Albeit extensively strengthened. It got its logbook in the end.
