If this is a regular setup in Australia, it is still extremely rare in South Africa. What I’m really interested in are numbers. Have you gained weight? Have you got more cargo space? And maybe a harder question, have you lowered your center of gravity? Did I understand right if I say you rig is heavier but you have more space and you have now a lower center of gravity ? But I still hope we could get the numbers. It’s really interesting because we are going to compare the classic South African setup with the RSI setup. When we watch an Australian tray + canopy, there is never a comparison. So we are not even sure it’s better. So, I guess we are all waiting for the answers... in the next episode. This episode and the ones to follow may/will change the way we build our rig in South Africa (may because it depends on the conclusions).
@4x4ventures_southafrica2 жыл бұрын
Hi Blaise, thanks for your comment. It's all coming mate. The build of the tray, comparisons between old setup and new, power upgrades, what are the differences and the WHY'S etc are stretched over 3 maybe 4 episodes, with a full review happening this year too. Its a massive upgrade and I'm on your page, but I have a plan to do it the way I see fit. Hope it lines up with your expectations. We are on the same page, and I'm sure you will appreciate the outcomes and efforts. Can't wait to take you on the journey mate. It is an interesting one and hopefully a first done the right way

Hi Mark, and awesome to hear that you are thinking of getting one. Watch my upcoming episodes, they might get you to come down to SA sooner than later mate 🤣 FYI, orders for this unit take about 4 months to do before installation, so schedule your tray and canopy to work for your timelines. Yes, absolutely mate. However, it's also great to see the market finally opening up as a result of what RSi and Smartcap International started, let alone with whats going on in Aus. I hope that it becomes more common place to see this type of upgrade in South Africa. Time will tell, and really stoked to be able to test this amazing bit of gear out. Thank you Henk🤙

Congratulations! What a dream setup. I’m looking forward to seeing how you use it out in the backcountry and future reviews on its performance. I’m in the market for a new canopy and am leaning heavily toward purchasing the Alu-Cab because a few reviews I’ve seen on KZbin complain about water leak issues with the RSI. It’s a beautiful product but an unjustified purchase if the leaking issues are true. Regardless I’m really happy for you and can’t wait to watch you put the entire setup through its paces. Cheers from the USA! 🍻

Hi and thank you for the kind words mate. Yes, plenty of content coming regarding the tray and canopy unit. It is an expensive unit without a doubt.
