Great stuff. The Vic High Country is my backyard I live so close to it. It never gets old and I doubt I will ever explore all of it.

Thanks for sharing, love to see these trips. Good on you for putting out the fire, can’t believe people leave it behind like that.. a tiny bit of wind can reignite it super easily. I usually get my shovel and put some sand on it, so I don’t have to waste water :)

The spot you stopped at near the bridge is the kingwill bridge on the Wonnangatta river and the first 4 river crossings are the Wongungarra river after that They are Crooked river.

That was after Mount Sugarloaf, I think. If I can work out the track name, I’ll add a comment here. 🙂👍

@brentthompson6223 That was Gunns track (off the Great Alpine Rd between Harrietville and Hotham Heights) and that will take you to Mt Sugarloaf.

Great ep. We were there in March/April and while Crooked River is an amazing place, we found that campers did not follow the "Leave No Trace" rule. So many ideal camping spots were ruined by rubbish left behind...just a shame. The river itself is magnificent and the track presented a few challenges as we show on our latest ep but it would have been a perfect spot, if only people respected the bush. Thanks for the ep!! 😀😀

Awesome edit Artie and great to see some of the lesser known areas of the VHC - you're FJ is such a capable rig. excuse the rant but how many times do people need to be told take their rubbish with them and to extinguish fires properly - this was in the middle of summer too. is it any wonder we're losing access to tracks all over the country.
@4xAdventures7 ай бұрын
Thankyou kindly! Yes, fires and rubbish are a huge problem all over the country. Most people are great, but a few let everybody down, resulting in tracks being closed. Such a shame. 😊👍

I agree there's so many tracks that aren't as popular as blue rag and Billy goats. But these less know tracks are just as good if not better.

Nice video mate, appreciate the effort. Gunns track is a great ridge line track with same amazing views. Well done putting the fire out, so many irresponsible people out in the bush these days.

Great video guys! Doing Crooked River in a few days and can’t wait! Question though, I can’t find Mt Sugarloaf in that area of the VHC. Not even on google maps. You sure it’s Sugarloaf? Cheers.
