ADAM Audio was founded in March 1999 in Berlin. Since then the company has been developing, manufacturing and distributing loudspeakers in the field of Professional Audio.
The development of the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter based on the 1960’s invention of the Air Motion Transformer by Oskar Heil was largely responsible for the company’s founding. Producing sound not with a piston-like diaphragm as is done in most of the loudspeakers that are on the market, but using a pleated diaphragm that is capable of moving the air 4 times faster than the folds themselves are moving was the appealing idea behind it all. The achieved results were intriguing and gave ample reason for moving forward.

Yup, that's how I understood Dolby Atmos, and thanks for clearing that up. In addition, the processed Dolby Atmos audio when downsized to stereo, it maintains the Atmos object placements, which is great for stereo listening on headphones. Well, at least that's my experience.

I finally understand Atmos thanks to this video! I need to replace a 15 yr old 5.1 home theatre and have been confused by all of the new choices in sound. I think standard soundbars sound awful and was worried I would miss my rear speakers and subwoofer. I play music, as well as tv, through my home theatre so I want it to sound good. If anyone reading these comments has a recommendation (under $1000) I would appreciate it. Thanks for the great video! 👍

So basicly Dolby Atmos is just a software (or sound engine) and those Dolby Atmos headphones are just marketing and every headphone can work if we have the software. Similar to Fmod.

Hello, i have a question regarding the feature DTS Neo 2:5 from Samsung which is not anymore on the latest tv's. How can i get this feature ? I was listening on my logitech z906 conected at tv with optical cable. I can say that the bass was fantastic with that feature. thank you

Sound is multi-dimensional. It’s called sound waves. Sound is waaaay beyond 3D. There is always the possible of a badly mixed Atmos recording. And that remains the central problem. ALL of this is at the discretion of the sound engineers. Atmos guarantees nothing.

I dunno who paid this guy but he's kind of full of it. Atmos allows you to localize sounds on the ceiling but dynamic panning through 3D space is still subject to phasing. That being said, atmos is a way vetter experience than 5.1

Hi we can try to answer this in the best way... Dolby Atmos has an encoding system that allows for certain sound qualities to be replicated on a stereo system that decodes it, which Airpod Pros are able to do with spacial audio even in a stereo setup.

This was the worst explanation I have heard. What I could gather from this is that you can use Dolby atoms to make a 3 dimensional space. I’m going to put a living room in my closet to improve square footage of my house.
