Here's a question: CD's are still quite popular, along with vinyl... how does that factor into all this? You can't put atmos on a CD or vinyl disc, to my knowledge.

Can I use T5V’s as surround speakers and T7V’s as main speakers (LCR) in a Dolby music studio?

Hi Thiago, while the T Series doesn't meet the exact SPL specifications as LCR speakers, you can certainly still set them up in a 7.1.4 orientation!

Can anybody tell me the reason why atmos with apple and amazon only work with their small speakers ? i thought the biggest selling point for atmos is, that it scales so well to all kinds of sound system from Headphones to 7.1.4 in a home cinema setup and even up to 64 speaker Cinemas setups. It kinda defeats the purpose to produce expensive atmos music for streaming when you cannot demonstrate it on a beefier surround system. Still i`m excited for any kind of surround progress and hope for the best in the future

I have a Apple 4K TV connected to my Dolby Atmos AV receiver. I'm able to hear Dolby Atmos music from Apple Music playing through the speakers that are connected to my AV receiver.

@@Dudelstudio I actually quit Amazon Music because I didn't want to be forced to listen to Atmos music with just the Echo Studio.

Ambisonics and pscyhoaccoustics is quite seriously evident in the musical space I am in atmos is literally a great thing but spatial audio is generally wise.. max has free plugins from MiT that use head tracking and can encode through say reaper... an entire album in atmos youtube based ambisonic algorithms... whatever streaming platform you could imagine... I used to use pro tools because of encoding ability in the 90s but it wasn't worth the hardware investment.... motorized faders seemed like a better investment.. Just my agreement with comments made the implied methodology is where we part ways... maybe I just saw this and am searching for the most reliable encoding of any spatial audio across production and listening platforms. I in no way think it's gimmick based though but I'm submerged in intermedia.

Sounds cool but music naturally doesnt sound too 3D so I don't understand how this can be the main representation of audio
