I was just in Switzerland this past August and saw many of the same places these wonderful photographers visited. I only learned of this competition through James’s website but I’m so glad I did. I think it took them out of there comfort zones and allowed their perspectives to shine through.

@@MySwitzerland My favorite area was Interlaken and going up to Wengen, but there were many interesting sights everywhere I went. Lucern, Zurich, and a quick trip over to Liechtenstein were all memorable. 😎

I was rooting for James. I love his minimalist, simple composition of photos. This must have been a challenge for him. And for all the other 3. This was a great series. I wish I can visit Switzerland again and actually have time to take meaningful photos then.

This series of "The Perfect shot" just made me re-think my lost interest in photography (street photography, to be exact), which was lost because, well,...real life issues. Thank you for this series and a concept, which I think it shows the simplicity in taking photos, that means something to the photographer at first place. Great selection of photographers, that shows us this craft as it used to be - simple.

@@MySwitzerland ha! there are lots of great moments. From James barefoot on the swing for his shot or Sid getting off the train and it leaving him behind. But most of all it has to be Sean and Margrith, not just a lovely photo but a great story of connection between them both. It was also good to see Sean extend his trip and also give Margrith a print of the photo. Connections and memories you just can't plan or fake them.

This gave a me a sense of how other artists appreciate each others art. I’ve watched James for a while, and seeing the photos he pinned was shocking to me for example! Some photos were obvious winners to me, and they did not get as much attention. But yes Sean definitely won, I loved his work. And I mean this is what he does for a living, not only landscape but travel photography, I am sure he has the skills to explore, get around, and take the perfect photo. Congratulations guys!
