Effective 1 July 2013, KTMB has some changes to their Passenger Trains' timetable. International Express 35 is scheduled to pass Sungai Petani at 1226hrs, while 36 is to pass at 1533hrs.

0:58 - Southern Thailand Container Block Train 131
2:16 - Empty PETRONAS Urea Liner 3472
3:33 - Empty CIMA Palletized Cement Liner rake 306
5:29 - SRT International Express 36
6:43 - Southern Thailand Container Block Train 136
8:40 - 131 depart

YDM4这火车头在我小的时候时常看见它拉不同的货物车厢经过,远远都可以听见它那“嘟噜嘟噜嘟噜”的声音。现在拉货的都是蓝虎或者蓝色的中国火车头。

What are those red instrument with the keys in the stationmaster's office?

Those are the key token instruments. They issue a token. This token is required for the train to proceed through the block section between stations. Only one token can be issued by either station of a block section at any given time. This way, the block section is guarded from having two trains in the section. The token is handed to the train driver via the pouch.

Anto Dwiastoro Slamet The necklace thing is the token pouch, the bag that contains the token. The slip of paper stapled to the pouch contains caution-orders that tell the drivers where they need to drive cautiously, mostly due to track constructions.

Dalam sistem token, dua mesin merah yang mengandungi sejumlah token kunci (selalunya 35 dalam satu mesin) ditempatkan dalam satu blok (seksyen antara stesen), satu di kedua hujung blok. Kedua2 mesin ini disambung secara elektrik. Mesin ni direka untuk membolehkan pengeluaran satu token sahaja di antara dua mesin yang bersambung. Dengan cara ini, hanya satu tren sahaja yang bergerak antara dua stesen, seterusnya mengelakkan pelanggaran antara tren. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Token_(railway_signalling) Contoh penggunaannya: Katakan tren 36 hendak bertolak dari Sungai Petani menuju ke Gurun. Station master Sungai Petani akan menelefon stesen Gurun untuk meminta kebenaran jalan bebas, dengan ayat: "Tren 36 line clear 20?" (adakah jalan bebas untuk tren 36 pada jam 1520?) Kalau jalan bebas dan stesen Gurun boleh menerima tren tersebut, station master Gurun akan menekan butang hitam di mesin berkenaan untuk membolehkan sebatang token dikeluarkan di stesen Sungai Petani. Station master Sungai Petani akan memasukkan token tersebut ke dalam beg token dan menyerahkannya kepada drebar tren 36. Selepas tren 36 bertolak dari stesen Sungai Petani, stesen master Sungai Petani akan menelefon Gurun sekali lagi, memberitahunya: "36 lepas 30." (tren 36 berlepas dari Sungai Petani jam 1530.) Setelah itu, Station master Gurun akan menelefon Bukit Junun untuk mendapatkan jalan bebas: "36 line clear 40?" (adakah jalan bebas untuk tren 36 pada jam 1540?) Benda sama akan berlaku pada ketika ini: Station master Bukit Junun akan tekan butang, membolehkan token dikeluarkan di Gurun, dan token tersebut dimasukkan ke dalam beg token. Apabila tren 36 melalui stesen Gurun, "token passing" akan dilakukan: drebar tren menyerahkan beg token dari Sungai Petani kepada porter Gurun, dan seterusnya mengambil beg token ke Bukit Junun dari stesen master Gurun. Token passing lazimnya berlaku pada kelajuan 30-40km/j. Selepas tren 36 bergerak melepasi Gurun, stesen master Gurun akan menelefon Bukit Junun: "36 lepas 50," dan seterusnya menelefon Sungai Petani: "36 52 tutup." (36 sudah sampai dan situasi kembali normal pada jam 1552.) Stesen master Gurun kemudiannya memasukkan token dari Sungai Petani ke dalam mesin berkenaan, justeru membebaskan kedua2 mesin di Sungai Petani dan Gurun untuk mengeluarkan token lain jika diperlukan oleh tren lain. Perkara yang sama akan berulang di stesen Bukit Junun. Sistem token ini hanya digunakan di Laluan Pantai Timur sekarang.

Sekiranya alat seperti TAS TANGAN PEREMPUAN itu gagal dihulurkan kepada Pemandu Locomotive atau gagal juga disambut olih GROUND TRAFIK yang berada dibawah.. apakah KESALAHAN atau KESANnya ?

Token ini umpama lampu hijau. Tren tidak dibenarkan berlepas tanpa token.
