Thank you very much for such a lucid explanation. If you have a playlist of videos on Logistical Modeling that cover determination of Confidence Intervals of the coefficients (Betas), could you kindly point me in the right direction? The textbook I am following skimps on these details. Thank you very much for your help.

What if x is numerical and has multiple continuous variables (A, B, C, D) NOT categorical ? Would A still be held as the reference? Is it always the first variable that is held as a reference for the continuous values in the x axis?
@marinstatlectures2 жыл бұрын
For continuous variables the reference (part of the intercept) is for X=0, and for categorical variables/factors one of the categories/levels is the reference, and in software the default is the category that comes first alphabetically or numerically

Thanks for the video. You really cleared things up for me. But now I'm wondering, what does it mean when the logistic regression coefficients are high like 7, 18 or 34?
@JoaoVitorBRgomes3 жыл бұрын
it depends. If it is a cat variable, suppose sex, reference as male (0). If you have 7*sex, then being a woman makes 7 times more likely/ 700% change in the log odds relative to being a man.
