Part of the problem was that the Star Wars hotel was too damn expensive. It had to have been more expensive than anything else at Disney World. I don’t even think the rich would’ve been able to pay for that.😅

Part of the problem is also they advertised it as a hotel. That was probably the least valuable part. It was basically a thing to be interacted and explored for two days with only venturing out to the park for food and drink and a couple rides. You had your food and park tickets included and other than I special drink or two I think everything else was included. Still expensive, but meant for star wars fanatics and not the normal people. As in mostly for the people who have watched each movie about 20+ times. I've only seen in about 4 times each if that.

They created an attraction that would appeal to rich diehard Star Wars fans but then overestimated how many rich diehard Star Wars fans exist. They should scale back some of the show elements and reopen it as a deluxe hotel and it will do well.

@@GoodnersGoodAdventures I was thinking the FUlly immersive 2 day story line should be a like a Scheduled extra thing, like regular hotel weds- Sunday Immersve experience Mon-Tues then people could plan it the way you do the cruises X days on the boat Y days at the parks.

The last time we ate at the Marrakesh was the year before the pandemic. It was always one of our “must dine here” restaurants when visiting EPCOT. We will really miss it 🙁.

I agree! The first time we went, my kids were little and I did not expect them to like the more unfamiliar menu items. I was so wrong-they tried everything and liked the majority of items. From then on, it became our EPCOT restaurant.

Afternoon tea at the grand Floridian never opened after Covid either. I’m so sad about that one. I love taking my girls there the first day we arrived on a trip.

Oh, are there ANY real REAL good tea rooms left in America? We has Alice's (mad hatter??) Tea room 8n Eureka,NorNorCal, sadly shut shortly after we moved here. & the one in downtown San Jose, which had full service tea & cakes, sandwiches, a menu of what style of tea service you wanted? Where -with TEA more popular-for yummy& health reasons- than ever in the u.s.- where are all my tea rooms???!!!! Moroccan food? Anything like that? - bb 💙🎶💙🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹❄️❄️🐈‍⬛❄️🐈‍⬛❄️

I went to the Wonders of Life pavilion as a kid. Cranium Command was a really fun show, and Body Wars was definitely intense. I miss both, and hopefully the mystery of the missing Buzzy will someday be solved!

I was just talking about that with a coworker (we’re cast members). It sounds like one of those mysteries that could well remain one forever. I used to work star tours which actually uses the same ride system as body wars, so when the WOL pavilion shut down, they actually scrapped the ride for parts. So in a weird Frankenstein way, body wars lives on at star tours!

Two more examples are the Pirates League next to Pirates of the Caribbean, which was essentially a bibbidi bobbidi boutique but for pirates. It has been left abandoned but intact for years, and just now is finally going to be replaced with the new restaurant. The other is the Muppet store outside Muppet Vision, which was another loss from the pandemic.

I know that we're talking specifically about "spots" but, who remembers the incredible beauty of The Lights of Winter during Holidays around the World at Epcot? Christmas time just hasn't been the same since 2008. 😢

When my family went to Disney World in 2011, we went to the Moroccan restaurant as my kids like Moroccan food (they've been to Moroccan restaurants before). Glad I went if it's no longer there.

Aunt Polly’s used to sell a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on raisin bread. It was delicious. This is the old days when we had to use a “D” ticket to get on the island.

I been to everything but the star hotel I miss river country it was like a back country water hole the wonder of life and body wars were cool to wish they open them also aunts spot on Tom island was great after running around you went there and grab a drink and sit relax sad Disney gets wrapped up in non magic

@timrose9826 it had very limited capacity, no parking, no standard entrance, it was connected to a park and the park entrance would have to be staffed for the very few guests. Just to name a few of the logistical issues.

I’ve been to all of these places, at least 2 or 3 times, but I’ve only been to the waterpark once because the first time I smacked my head on the side of a ginormous one and I was only like five or six when I went down it and I got a concussion that knocked me out and then once the lifeguard got me out, we never went back there👍🏻

Minion water park it was closed in Houston in southwest freeway in 2019 it was closed because it was the Covid 19 it never reopen since but it still abandoned
