I believe that this is just a spelling error, not a typographical error - everyone erroneously calls spelling mistakes "typo's" - over 50 years ago, I used to set type when each letter was a piece of lead and the fonts were contained in "California Job Cases" - letters put into the wrong boxes would constitute potential errors since the placement of each box was memorized and not marked - Typo's came from these days - today, mistakes in keyboarding or spelling are called the same thing when actually, it's just convenient to go and not admit to our own mistakes ......... just a trivial bit of "printing history" ,.....now, onto the real reason I watch you - you Sir, are my encyclopaedia for when I need a refresher or don't fully understand something in the User Manual - Thank YOU ! ....keep it going and don't lengthen the vids, too much info clouds the mind - 5-6 items is enough at one time ..... :-)

Nice tips , Robin! I think in general Olympus Workspace is very useful and capable software just underrated. I especially like it’s ability to de-fisheye Olympus 8/1.8 PRO. So, I can turn ON de-fisheyeing in camera for proper framing and composition and later, home using OW I will get same frame just with more control over image.

Hi Robin first of all thanks for all the advices, tips etc about E-m1 mark ii. I bought recently this camera. And even if my first lense isn't arrived yet (lol) I discovered a lot of things because of you... I have a question... For now I ordered the 45mm1.8 and the 40-150mm both used... I'm looking for a macro lense (surely the Olympus 60mm or the panasonic 30mm) and hesitate too for a zoom (like oly12-40//pana 12-50) or a lense like pana 15mm//Olympus 17mm for lanfscape/street/ indoors... Wich lenses would you recommend? And do you think that an olympus lense on a Olympus body is better than pana lense? If someone else could comment or advice me it would be great...
@RobShootPhotos4 жыл бұрын
Funny I was just talking about using Exposure shift with someone. When shooting birds, I many time set my camera to manual, lock my shutter and aperture with Auto ISO on. The problem is, the bird will not be properly brightly exposed and there is no compensation in manual for Auto ISO. So I shift my exposure on my meter to +1 and it's usually within 1/2 of stop where I need to be to get correct exposure of the bird. It would be neat if Olympus did give you an exposure compensation when using Auto ISO in manual but this method works good enough.
@robinwong4 жыл бұрын
Olympus does have exposure compensation when using Auto ISO in manual. I think this was available for cameras from PEN-F onward.

I think this will make it to one of the tips for my coming OM-D Tips video.

@@robinwong ooo...I would like to know because I don't see that possible option on my E-M10 II but I will be soon be upgrading my body, so maybe what you say may help me decide which body to get or maybe I'm overlooking something.
@robinwong4 жыл бұрын
@@RobShootPhotos E-M10 Mark II is older than PEN-F, so the auto-ISO exposure compensation option is not available. It is available in E-M5 Mark III, E-M1 Mark II, E-M1 Mark III and E-M1X.

@@robinwong thank you so much for your insight. While I'm hitting limitations with my em10 I've learned how to work with it. I think, even after it will be replaced, the E-M10 will still be my favorite and I will continue to use it for street photography, whenever that will happen.

I wondered what is better - to have two SDcard slots or to have possibility to upload photos immediatelly when taken. I will check my M5 Mk III in few days with Olympus Share. M10 apparenlty allows this only for JPEGs. I would like to archive my RAWs as well, but it would not be much of an issue uploading quality JPEGs instead. On one hand i would like to have an alternative to a higher PRO feature (2 SD card slots) with a single card + Wifi, on other hand even when i would have M1, i would still have an option to upload photos to a different device or network.
@robinwong4 жыл бұрын
E-M5 Mark III allows transfers of RAW files via wifi, if that is what you need. E-M1 Mark II does too, but much much slower, it is after all an older camera with previous generation wifi tech. E-M1 Mark III/E-M1X can have fast wifi speed too, same with E-M5 Mark III.

@@archiekins82 Not quite, this just tells the camera how precise the dials work on turning: If you prefer to adjust your ⚙️K 2 settings even further by the respective dial, it might be a good idea to set this E 1 value to 1/3 EV. This gives you 9 steps to each side (+/- 3 EV additional correction), whereas 1/2 EV would give you 6 clicks to each side.
