As long as older generations who think this ai stuff is dumb are still alive, no. The whole idea of ai music is dumb. As we are getting into this, I am getting less enthusiastic about all this ai stuff. It's going to make everything suck, big time.

On the "AI Question"...I don't think I'd ever be replaced. I do think however, passive music listeners will not care if a click track by the numbers drum ai is playing or a human. It will just shrink opportunity not quality.

If you use AI to make a song you should not consider yourself an artist, but a fraud.
@elskebass
@elskebass Жыл бұрын
@@LeoEichdi I think that depends on what kind of AI assisted tool used; if it's "press a button" and out comes a finished product, then I would agree, but if one uses AI to help with mastering or getting to grips with music theory, for example, I don't see why that would make one a fraud.
@eclecticmuzikafrankmooradi7398

@@LeoEichdi While I'll argue against the dangers of AI, there are proper ways to use it too. It can be used to present pathways to directions things can go in which can be tailored by the user. This is basically a time saver that isn't taking the personal touch out of it. I use a thesaurus & rhyming dictionary for rap a fair amount. An AI could automatically do what I'm doing manually, which is finding potential directions things can go in, which I'll either choose from, or simply by looking at them will cause me to think of something on my own. The same thing can happen for creating melodies, & it's being used in UX/UI Design already. However...I honestly think this is only because AI is still early & not at it's potential. I really do think it'll get good enough to create things indistinguishable from a human. Companies with deep pockets will just use it to shove material out. That's when I think things will really be fucked, as if we're not drowning in content analysis paralysis already.

I once talked to Bing on Skype and said I would tell it a secret and when it simulated curiosity, I put in a random password, like a safe's secret and said that this was the secret to a safe, but the safe itself had not been found. Bing said this was a boring response and that I should write about the safe, the secret (lock combination) and what was stored in said safe like a little story. So in summary, just like in this video, Bing gave me the idea, but the story - told in a poem - was written by me, in Brazilian Portuguese - my native language. Another AI that could give artists good ideas is PI! And before I forget, nice video!

This is my first time to your channel and it's such a pleasant surprise to have found a kindred Spirit with the same thinking, same nature and same genuinely good intentions behind the actions you display, which are far greater than what most people see or realize is actually taking place here, because what you do for others is actually an amazing gift you give them and eventually the entire world will receive them all through them passing themselves along until all are raised higher with each wave, so I sincerely thank you* I absolutely love the way you've gone about showing people how to look at things differently in order to help set themselves free and reach their greatest potential and how the synchronicity of Divine support lead the words of your song to perfectly represent the root tool that one needs in order to reach a greater potential, which is exactly what all your words of advice and encouragement is helping people achieve and witnessing the way you've gone about it has been an inspiring experience. I was especially filled with an amazing sense of joy when your final mix was played, which is Truly amazing by the way. Finding your channel has most definitely brightened my day and is sure to brighten many more, so thank you again* 🕊

Ive tried a couple of things using AI image generation and no. AI wont take over visual arts either. If you want it to generate an image, and you cant find a similar one in a simple google search, then AI will just spit out nonsense images. As for the mastering engineer, he's definitely going to be better than the AI. But for a small indie producer, AI will do. Plus he could get a job at training AI so no jobs lost, just changed

AI ignited a fire in me when I had it combine Blind 2 See by Skankfunk and Like It Like This Like That by Hideki Naganuma. The track was sloppy sure, but I instantly recognized the potential and it opened my eyes to what could be. All I want to do now is learn how to make something like that myself. I don't care about profit or fame, I just want to make what that AI did in my own ways. In one way I find that to be the truest form of what art is, creative expression without a price tag behind it. I'll use and learn whatever I can to reach that goal; fear won't stop me from doing it. AI can only hold you down if you let it, meaning only you can hold yourself down. My heart burns with a passion (or indigestion) I hope anyone's reading this will too.❤‍🔥

The only thing anyone needs to do is whatever way works for them. This is the only reason why I can’t stand people hating on new tools. It has nothing to do with them being old school. I don’t mind that. I call people dinosaurs who demonize EVERY way to make music that doesn’t align with their own. Who the hell cares is what I say. If old school works for you that’s great! If AI or new tools work for someone else, that’s great! Just stop the unnecessary hate and demonization that keeps people forever uninspired to make anything at all.

would be nice to have an AI that could write(as an example) a melody for a track you have drums and bass already, or maybe a counter melody for an existing track. Nice also to see this subject has been researched properly, and isn't just a plug for AI or a moan about us being replaced by AI. Whilst AI may be helpful, it can't replace the emotion, feeling, power or vibe of the human voice, or the feeling we get as creators when we put something together that we can actually "feel"

not even, you will come to realize that majority of the world will still love and listen "mostly" to the simple lyrics and chord progressions made by your average producer, singer/songwriter. so stop it with the silly statements. by the time you use all these services for 1 song i would have made made 3-5 other songs in the same time. Go to the top 100 billboard right now and listen to "like crazy" by Jimin. I LOOKED MYSELF JUST NOW. that song is 3 chords and the most basic lyrics, so stop it, as fast as the world is moving and how much less attention span people have, AI is the least you'd have to worry about "as far as MUSIC goes. To bad, that the people which created your artwork in the past, won‘t be able to pay money for your music and will instead use some of the upcomimg „Create a new Soul (insert genre) track for me each day“ AI tools for free. Am I a dinosaur now?

Dayum!!! When you got to adding the beats... I was like game over!! That's the part I struggle with. It's so crazy though how much AI can do, but it still needs a musician's input and creative flair.

The thing is this homie.. all this technology and this era's music isn't better!.. Its like making music easily, without talent, hasn't created or pushed music to new heights, or created something spectacular as it did in the 60s-90s.. There is just more 'crappy' easily created, music.. Where is this era's Howling Wolf, Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stones, Isley Brothers, Run DMC, Tupac, Ashanti's or Nelly's? .. New genre's? ..

Artists do not need these crutches. Only the human imagination, the passion, the need to express oneself and the mastery of the tools produces art. Everything else is meaningless because it lacks soul.

@Haz Kofi do you really think that AI is part of the soul? I have developed AIs myself: they are just better automat. For me, that's the opposite of soul. I use AI to delegate routine work but not to create art. Sorry, I can't agree with you.

So same as always just one day wake up and 808 4Track forms a lesser writer better and Cassette are going to bring quality gaps try. Metallica Blk Pupp ride. St anger☠️💩 nah. The more technological things can help the less human error accounts. like in Slayer type metal. If lead singer would singer would sing. That would be nice. Do much greatness can be sparked and as Leo help prevent more Ed All these mistakes my screen made better tech would help this lol. Come on man. Ppl that say this do nothing but know this helps many more be better. Lol

If you can't personally generate music and art from your physical self & imagination, not a computer generated AI app or device, then you are not a musician or artist, period. The computer AI has become a musician or artist. You would just become a button pusher.

Do you build your own compressors?
@IAMLXGEND
@IAMLXGEND Жыл бұрын
Do you craft your own guitars? Did you skin the cow to make your own drum to play? Where does this dumbass stance stop? If you don’t Do everything 100% yourself with your are hands from the gathering of the necessary tools to build an instrument, to the making of the instrument to the playing and sequencing of it, without any computer whatsoever, record it on wax (since computers are cheating), then you’re just a button pusher. This is the same stupid argument people had back when compressors became digital plugins or VSTs replaced actual drum sets and analog synthesizers. I can’t stand these dumb takes. They are indeed dumb and fall apart the moment you use the exact same logic on your very own creative process. If you are using a computer to make any kind of music whatsoever or you don’t built your own instruments from scratch, you’re just as much of a button pusher as anyone else. Thanks. 🤘🏽

You realize when you refer to being “stuck in the past” it’s that past library that AI draws on It’s not inventing music it’s rearranging it based on past popular progressions and theory I think a real artist needs to learn the letters to the words of the phrases that make up our languages and therefore our lyrics and melodies that express us as artists AI is and has been used for all things creative for a long time but it is a very sad collection of pop hits in today’s music It lacks what made older music great, heart and soul When computers spit out original content that is awe inspiring like The Beatles, Miles Davis, all things Motown, Dolly Parton or even John Mayer (no offense, just don’t dig him) Then I’m all in but until then I’m spinning dinosaur vinyl from when music was recorded from real talent playing real instruments that could not just be downloaded by anybody and diluted into what we have on most radio stations today
@IAMLXGEND
@IAMLXGEND Жыл бұрын
You’re missing the point entirely and I was not speaking about a past LIBRARY but past THOUGHT PROCESSES AND TECHNOLOGY. IE: we do not still record one-takes onto tape and wax. We record into computers. Do we not? Not quite the same but thanks for your input nonetheless.

AI will 100% take some jobs but creative jobs like musicians? No. Because no AI will be able to live the human experience. And the human experience is a KEY component to art. You can print 1’s and 0’s all day, you can generate chords and all that too. But AI can never replicate a human musical creation in its entirety because AI doesn’t experience life. Life is one of the main sources of inspiration for us. If you think a robot will replace your life, you must not live a very meaningful one to begin with. sorry not sorry.

@@IAMLXGEND Yea as an artist/music producer there's way more than just the music you produce, it's the full package of your brand, your specific personality, your customer approach etc. A.I. likely won't replace that cause it will just feel too empty, A.I. can't relate to humans as you say. Maybe not even in the future when it does get a physical body and be more sentient, if it does it will just be more competition not actual replacement of all human artist. Which I also think applies in certain other fields. This is all just speculation though, the future with this is unpredictable.

@@chaoscurator3889 you don’t have to know what something is in order to know what it isn’t. The same principal applies to love, morality, and the self. But, if I had to give you an answer, I would say art is something that is done for the sake of itself. For example, would he have used AI to make that song if he weren’t posting to to social media as content?
