@@IAMLXGEND well even that least you had the finances good health starts with being grateful even if you can think of a million reasons why you shouldn't be.

Again. No one is not being grateful. Where did I say I wasn't grateful? I said: I am grateful for the process. I did not find any reasons as to why I shouldn't be. I quite literally said "I am grateful" not "i am not grateful". All I am saying is I have regrets. Regrets does not = I'm not grateful. Regrets = regrets. Things you would do differently. Just because you say you would want to do something differently in the past doesn't mean you're not grateful for things happening as they did. Thanks.

For soft spoken singers, the word you were trying to find was mumble. Soft singers aren't "effortless," they're mumbling. :)
@IAMLXGEND
@IAMLXGEND 2 күн бұрын
Incorrect. You can sing softly and still be intelligible. Mumbling = No regard for pronunciation. Singing softly = singing softly. You can sing soft while still being perfectly communicated. Your comment implies that any soft singing = mumbling. So does they mean every singer needs to belt their absolute loudest just to prove they can “sing”? Music is about dynamics. You can’t have interesting music without the ability to approach both soft and loud. No dynamics = boring and predictable music. Soft singing is soft singing. Mumbling is Mumbling. This is coming from someone who despises mumble rap.

Man, thanks for the video!🙏 It's awesome to see your journey; where you came from and how far you've come I'm not good at giving myself credit, or recognising my progress, but...YEET!!! I remember first making beats in Music Maker Jam, on-and-off till early 2020; when I found LMMS and learned about producing. I grinded on that software and started writing lyrics again; making millions of mistakes and outtakes. By early 2021, I had ten demo songs (all recorded on a Blue Snowball). My voice was beyond stiff, but I improved my production/writing a lot After over two years of making mistakes, and learning from them (with the help of channels like yours) I released my first single - Faceless - in October 2022 Almost two years after that, I released 12 projects - Singles and EPs - and got a beat tape, EP, and possible LP on the way. My voice is still not what I want it to be, but I have improved a lot the past four years (Damn, doesn't feel that long lol) Anyway, my backstory's done. Thanks again for showing your past 20 years (Mad respect btw) and here's to another 20🥂 Take care, man ^-^ Stay Lxgendary 💙💙💙

I know so many people that started on a Snowball or Yeti lol. Truly the beginner's favorite Mic brand. And yea getting in there and making mistakes is what it's all about. Putting in those hours and practice may feel like its going nowhere in the moments but over time you can really see how far you've gone in terms of skill level and setup wise. Continue to give yourself that credit! Here's to 4 more years for you! (and many more)

I got rid of my bed too! 😂 Man, I can totally relate, I'm torn between working at a job that isn't music related and chasing my passion full-time. The job pays well, is a 9-5, but it's exhausting and by the end of the day, I'm physically and mentally exhausted to do anything creative. There's also the fear that the longer I stay away from writing and producing, the more my skill level drops or at best remains at the same level. I saw your video about getting a job again. How do you balance it? I'd appreciate any tips, thanks!
@IAMLXGEND
@IAMLXGEND 3 күн бұрын
Wild! Lol yea it's crazy the things we'll do (sometimes necessary) to push the dream forward. But well worth it. As far as losing skill or remaining the same, I'd say it's like riding a bike. The more you spend time away from it, the more rusty you'll get but I don't think your skill will drop. Definitely can't improve though without putting that time in. But once you're able to pick it back up it comes right back to you. In terms of balancing my 9-5 with music, I'm honestly still trying to figure out that balance. Giving up one of my rest days of the weekend is definitely something I know I'll have to do more of because I also am usually mentally, sometimes physically, too drained after work to do anything music related. But I do know that at some point I'll have to give at least 2 hours to that a few days a week if I want to make any progress. My plan for now is to take 2-3 days a week to go to the studio and work on music after work. I get home around 5:30, so music work from 6-8 or 9. That way there are still some days I can rest after work, some days I get music stuff done and the weekends are purely for relaxation and recharging.

For me it started with MTV Music Generator 3 for the Playstation 2. I had friends who used Acid Pro to record vocals and one of them send me FL Studio 5 in 2005 (Fruity Loops 5). Started on a AMD computer moved up to the legendary DELL computer from 2009 till 2016, when I saved up money to build my own one. The journey has been long, and I'm NOWHERE near where I wanna be, but when I put the pictures from 2007 with 2024 along side, it's night and day!

When I tell you the flashbacks of Windows 98, 2000, Millennium Edition and XP came to me when you took put the Dell computer, oh it just took me back! Aside from that, this was a very inspirational video you shared and you are right. Blood, sweat and tears have got to be put in. Ain't no shortcut around wanting to achieve the goal and dream. That being said, I can definitely when it comes to working and side-hustling. I'm not in the best position but I'm definitely making sure to balance everything and crash coursing into being a better musician. It gets frustrating at times, especially when I used to play piano then... just stopped. No idea why I did but, I'm bringing that talent back. Also , I just bought a new guitar to practice with my old Casio keyboard. Those are the two major things I want to master before I buy any equipment. IAMLXGEND, thank you for sharing this and inspiring me and everyone here to keep putting our best foot forward.

It’s wild when you really sit and think about it all. And yes that Dell was a workhorse for those first 10-ish years for sure lol. We put that poor thing through hell 🤣

I have NEVER had a critical failure on PC in 30 years. I still have hp boxes that still run sessions from 2001 lol. Let's not talk about iphones... built in obsolescence and forced upgrades. I would like the full version of that song you demo'ed. Also, this made me teary eyed, a bit hopeful. I don't really have much talent, but there is a song in my soul I need to create to help me cope with grief. I don't have any of the equipment you had at your disposal. Would you be able to recommend or link a video on how an extreme amateur can start? Like, besides the keyboard , may I know what the other tech items were? Can someone make something with a bit less? Thank you so much 💛
@IAMLXGEND
@IAMLXGEND 3 күн бұрын
All you need is a keyboard, a computer and some headphones. If you have that, you can make good music. Anything beyond that would strictly be things you want to build on. Not necessarily NEED. Also depends on if you plan to record your own vocals, then you'll obviously need a microphone. But you can get a mic from Blue Microphones for relatively cheap.
