I LOVE your arm movements. It's part of your charm. Anyway, I have never heard of the Hanky-Panky appetizer, but I used to make a Mexican type dip years ago that is very similar. And, boy, it was sooo good you just about ate your fingers off eating it. Starts with the pound of ground beef and pound of sausage, browned and drained. Then you add 16oz of Mexican Velveeta (I can't find Mexican Velveeta any more, so I would just use regular Velveeta and add the crushed red peppers and spices.) To that add a can of Rotel. Heat everything together until combined. Eat with Fritos Scoops.

Yes bugles for the chex mix and i usually make a double batch of the butter mixture or one and a half....so good!!! Also, try the light rye bread ... it's much better than the dark rye.

try the Hanky-Panky on salty tortilla chips! You can add a jalapeno slice or even sour cream/avocado if the spicy sausage is shining thru. And the rye toast comes in a 'light rye' version- for less strong taste. We might even toast it first before the topping, then just warm it for serving.

@@shellmac3207 Pumpernickel IS a form/type of Rye + PLUS Molasses is where it gets its sweet smoky depth of color and depth of flavor. The dark garlicy toast added into the chex mix- is pumpernickel - her favorite, but made crisp.

That is so good to know. I will look for the light rye. And yes, I love love love those little chips in the chex mix. So I'm not sure why I didn't care for the toast. Maybe if I toasted it a little BEFORE adding the hanky panky mixture, I might like it butter. But im definitely trying that with tortilla chips! Sounds Delicious!🥰

We make the hanky panky and put it on buns. My recipe called it white trash. My kids grew up on this. When my youngest moved out he called me for the recipe and I laughed so hard when he said “that’s it?!” “I thought this was a lot harder! “. Nope! I made it on weeknights after work so it had to be quick and easy!
