I got a better list that consists of at least feral status animals- 1. Mandarin duck- pretty common in parks, populations of around 5000, mainly in London. 2. Egyptian geese (the Sandy coloured goose in the video)- introduced, now several thousand in the UK have increased their range to south Lincolnshire. 3. Fischer’s turaco- a probable escape, living in a cemetery in London- has been their for more then five years. 4. Red crested Pochards- a Eastern European duck that was introduced in the UK, a good population regularly seen at Finsbury Park- range has extended to reservoirs in Essex, Sussex, Kent, Buckinghamshire etc. 5. Black necked grebes- Staines reservoir, almost guaranteed throughout the winter- around 9 their regularly and in their summer plumage they are magnificent, they are a rare winter migrant- you also have a high chance of other rare winter waterfowl- Slav grebe, Red necked Grebe, Greater Scaup also chance of vagrants such as Lesser scaup, Ring necked duck etc- issue is that you need a scope or it’s pointless since theirs only a single part between two massive reservoirs- you also need fantastic eye sight.

In Bedfordshire and parts of east England we have wild wallabies, it is believed they were let out of private zoo's in the second world war, and caused a tail back on the M1 Newport Pagnel. YOU CAN SEE a few round Whipsnade zoo visiting there captive bros. But other wise lucky to see them

That brown snake in the thumbnail looks suspiciously like an Australian eastern brown snake one of the most deadly reptiles in the world!

Back in the summer my mum rang me telling me there was a peacock on her back fence. I said nahhhh it’s probably a sparrow ( I said this as she is useless at naming things lol). It was indeed a peacock and wouldn’t budge no matter what lol. It was there everyday for 2 weeks lol . I rang around the local zoo and other places but no one had lost a peacock.

Love local parks that make space for wildlife. We just fought our local council, and won, after they were going to tear up our park and it's woodland to build a campus... Claimed there was no endangered/protected wildlife in the area even though it's been well documented that otters, badgers, hedgehogs, an array of water birds, pine martins, kingfishers etc all call the area home. Was absolutely disgusting behaviour, we need to look after our spots of nature 💕 We also have terrapins there too 😂 my work has taken in 11 from the area so far 🙈😂😂
@theotheseaeagle2 жыл бұрын
Good your removing terrapins. People seem to underestimate how damaging they are to our waterways. They eat endangered waterbirds, reptiles and amphibians. Same goes for American mink, they have almost completely eradicated endangered watervoles from many areas
