There is one MAJOR PROBLEM with the "rusty" owl... Who would accidentally dig up a bronze owl and then consider burying a FAKE rusty owl in its place?
@fett713akamandodragon54 ай бұрын
Yeah, I caught that too!!
@GreatSageSunWukong4 ай бұрын
Exactly it was clearly a bronze coloured owl and wasn't actually made of bronze so after 30 odd years is just a rusty bird
@fett713akamandodragon54 ай бұрын
@@GreatSageSunWukong Bronze doesn't rust the way iron does, which is what he said the bird they found was, rusty iron.
@Kitsudote4 ай бұрын
My thoughts exactly! Maybe they stumbled upon it accidently first, but then got aware of the hunt. Or just found it because of the hunt.
@ReklessDegen4 ай бұрын
If you watch Season 6 episode 8 of expedition unknown, they explain that a fake owl was buried, once found you can then exchange it for the real one.
@ModeratorFriendly4 ай бұрын
It seems unlikely that somebody would replace a bronze owl with a rusty iron one. It seems more likely that the original owl wasn't really bronze in the first place.
@mwills242 ай бұрын
It makes me think of geocaching. When you find a cache, you’re supposed to leave something of similar value in the prizes place. I’m thinking someone found the owl while looking for something else and so they left the iron bird

The Secret. The picture with the mask and the clock. Represents New Orleans. My guess is the key is either somewhere in or around Preservation Hall -or- at Storyland somewhere around Captain Hook’s pirate ship.

I think the trouble with some of these is similar to the problem D&D dungeon masters can face. You dont want the puzzle to be so easy that they know the answer before you finish the riddle because then you think it wont be satisfying for anyone. But then your group spends an hour trying to figure it out because youve made it to clever or based on information that only you have. So you try and make something easier like giving the classic riddle of the Sphinx, but because you also mentioned the entrance had 10 pillars, one of which has crumbled, they get distracted by unimportant information and chase what amounts to a red herring all night. How do you make the puzzles actually easy enough to be solved by the common man without also just publishing a map with latitude and longitude and a sign posted over the treasure in blinking neon red x's?
