I'd recommend the GTS Theatre. Great live music with a tribute to Motown. Also Crocodile Rocks or Nola'z for a piano bar. For a restaurant I'd suggest Thoroughbed's. Not only tremendous food and a great setting, but if you notify them that it's for an anniversary or birthday (or some other special occasion) they really take care of you.
