I keep thinking of what body to mold over which chassis. I love the look of the Mclaren. I also think the veloster has a good slope for a wider race car look. I love your work man. It’s very inspiring !

A few suggestions you need to check if you rails are parallel... it's a good idea build some adjustment suport plates in your gantry to adjustment the gantry for twist ie to tram your xyz. Your x axis rail could have be installed farther apart..from lower rail. are you going to use clear path servo for xyz???..you should think about it to prevent losing step on a 5 axis.

What is the cnc machine built from 6061 t6 aluminum?
@anthonyortiz79244 жыл бұрын
This is very inspiring work, you've got a great grasp on what needs doing, very impressed!! Been loving this CNC build, haven't seen any updates in over a year, but I see you bought a Fadal Mill (which was also another great video, the rebuilding was awesome!). Have you finished building it, or did you put it on pause or decided not to finish it? Would appreciate an update as I love what you've done so far and would love to see how it ends. Take care and congrats on your shop man, looking damn good!

4:13 to get 2 X rails paraller and level is easy,but get z axis squared for that. you cant use dial indicator and move z up down. needle not move even it move 5 degree LOL. bcox linear move traght you measure one point needle not move xD you need move needle not axis so you need another axis for dial LOL
@jafinch785 жыл бұрын
Awesome to see another video. Keep em rolling man! Have you considered a magnetic base indicator dial on an arm that you can lock or is rigid to run on one rail to align the other rail so is spot on? I'm looking to improve the cheap Chinese lathe I have and make into a mill (new bearings, right angle plate with vise, lock carriage, etc.) and one of the things I'd like to do is make a longer bed and ways and have watched some made even from cast granite and epoxy. I'm almost thinking using an old engine block so is cast iron and maybe fill with granite and epoxy. Then probably going to use a free treamill motor and controller... ok... shit... I'm rambling. Keep us posted! Awesome projects you got going on.... smooth.

Can you give use a cost up date on how much the upgrades cost...as well as some idea the total build cost..this far...ie the new z axis aluminum plate cost...linear rails...ballscrew... motors extra. You cost for b ,c axis build.

Nice, but you need to learn to weld
@InspireCNC5 жыл бұрын
Welding isnt ideal for building cnc gantrys. Thats because the high heat warps the metal as well as the welded joints shrink as it cools and pulls in both ends. Fasteners are much stronger and ridgid and allows for parts to be easily broken down for repair.
@beachboardfan95445 жыл бұрын
You can design the joints and sequence the welds in a way that they reinforce the rigidity of the structure
